Seems like this condition has been reworked in version 3.3.16 of JSTree to add an option that would fit our use of JSTree with our finder plugin.
Opening a new ticket for the upgrade.
After the upgrade, it will just be a matter of changing the tree option `allow_reselect` to `true` when we use the finder extension (I doubt this would break other trees, but better safe than sorry ).
