You mean testing the jetty-web.xml configuration for symlinks on Jetty 12, outside of the XJetty distribution (for example on the standalone distribution)? No, I haven't tried it. In any case, we need a test for te XJetty distribution. How do you test it?
Also not sure why you created a separated jira issue, it should have been part of XWIKI-21211 IMO.
XWIKI-21211 is about the standalone distribution. As you can see there were commits in this issue not related to the standalone distribution.
Is XJetty using the standalone distribution (didn't check)?
