With the changes I pushed the realtime WYSIWYG editor tests have not failed for me locally with Chrome for 20 executions (i.e. using @RepeatedTest(20)).

Unfortunately some tests (editWithSelf, inplaceEditableMacro and imageWithCaption) are still flickering on Firefox. I'm going to fix these in a separate issue.
