This looks like a bug in some old css4j version but I don't think that it can happen now, definitely not with XWiki 15.10-RC1 which ships css4j 4.2.2 (for which I added a unit test covering this case).

I don't think that the behaviour described here could happen with recent versions as well, but I only put my word on the latest version which is what I tested.
