It's difficult to distinguish between the link to the profile and the logout button in the drawer

I don't think this proposal fixes this issue. The proposal did not change anything about the Logout link.

AFAIK this is still open even though we closed XWIKI-22121 (implementation of the forum proposal).
I'm not sure how we could make this better though...

I'll trust your judgement on that, but we might also want to close this issue as `Won't fix`. I'm personally not sure this confusion is very strong and something we need to address if the only fixes we can think of are difficult to implement or need us to make compromises.
