When selecting to add a table without any style or border parameter, the result should be a table with no borders

Andreea Chirica I don't agree with making borderless tables the default.

It could be made easier (AFAIK there's already an easy way to have borderless table with CKEditor), but in my opinion the default should still be borders activated.

The correct way to use a table is with tabular data. Tabular data can almost always benefit from some lines to make the border between cells clear.

If push comes to shove, it's still probably possible to get a custom ssx to remove those borders from tables, but I don't think it would be a good thing to have it in the XWiki standard distribution.

What do you think?

PS: A more consistent solution to remove the border from the tables could be to have
style="border-width:0"
