I noticed this behaviour when developing the Words-based notification extension: the extension provide a new LD in a user profile tab, so AFAICS there's 3 LD loaded.
Now when I'm trying to perform an in-place edition, I can notice that 3 requests are performed, one for each LD, instead of only performing a single request for the LD I'm actually editing.
