When lowering the opacity of the cover element, we can see that the screen is scrolled up to the top when we expand the macro. Note that there's no scrolling at all anymore. My guess is that when we press the button manually, there's something to scroll the user back down, but when we use the escape key shortcut, this scrolling back down is left out somehow.
Note that this is the same behaviour when pressing the `F` key, which is, I suppose, a way to toggle fullscreen for the gallery.
