Sounds like there is a new problem, as it was not the case before.

I don't think you should try to guess what the parameter is and just use the default behavior (having 0 as parameter name). Then if someone wants to add a converter for excerpt-include, the converter will be in charge of find a better name for the first parameter.

So IMO the main work here is to fix whatever is the problem with parameters of type "<ac:link>".
