Yes, it's part of things to think about in the context of that issue. But I guess the API might still need to expose remote storage specific concepts that would just be ignored when the implementation is local filesystem storage.

But I guess the API might still need to expose remote storage specific concepts that would just be ignored when the implementation is local filesystem storage, and of course also not expose features that can only be done in a filesystem (like listing folder files, etc.).
