Note that on 16.X, and apparently for a while before, this visual differenciation was made using the shadow.
Nowadays, we have a flat look for UI components and this shadow stands out a bit.
Thiago Krieck Do you know what we should do with this ticket? Personally I'd close it as solved since such a large change in color would probably break a lot of UI customizations on user instances. If you have a good idea / alternative for this readability problem I can take time implementing it .
