Hi David and Ludovic,
I have finished implementing the second method proposed to achieve the
distributed search of XWiki.
In method I, the master node search the individual indexes each XWiki
Installation.
In method II, the master node maintains a global index of all the other
XWiki Installations and searches on it.
the code has been committed here

New subject: [xwiki-devs] [GSOC] Distributed Search status
Hi David/Ludovic/Sai,
I have not following this SOC project very closely so bear with me.
How are we going to integrate this in the XWiki SVN tree?
How does it interact with our existing lucene plugin?

Hi Vincent,
I have implemented distributed search using the few classes(API's)
provided by lucene. So I have modified the existing lucene plugin directory itself.
I mean, I have made few changes to existing lucene plugin source files and
added few more files to the existing lucene plugin source.
The chages were made in such a way that the new features for distributed
search can be either switched on/off by providing an option in
xwiki.cfg
Therefore we will have to just replace the existing lucene plugin(dir)
with the new lucene plugin (dir) that was committed to sandbox.
In addition to the lucene plugin I have made changes to XWiki.Results page
and xwiki.cfg.vm

Could you please provide a patch (in diff -u format) in JIRA so that
we can review and apply your code?
