Hi,
I would like not to show html formatting info on the e-mail notifier for my users, but only the modified text. Infos such as "text align", among all other html formatting that htmldiff shows, are not necessary for them. How can I do that?
I'm using XE 2.4.30451.
Regards,
Ramon
I've deployed Xwiki enterprise 2.7 on my Glassfish 2.1.1 server with MySQL
as the back-end.
I can create a user, but when I try to log in to that user, I am rewarded
with the stack dump shown below. It's trying to find a provider
of DES/ECB/PKCS5Padding.
After about 30 minutes on Google and on Java.sun.com, I don't seem to be
able to find where I can get this provider.
Could some kind soul please give me some hints on where to look to download
this?
Thanks.
Regards,
Mike

I'm having fun with the livetable macro but can't seem to enable
filtering for certain columns. It seems this is because they aren't
TextArea but have the type 'String', 'Date' or 'Static List'.
Screenshot for illustration.
I am not sure anymore why I made the property 'indieneradres' in my
example a string when I created a certain class but it bites me in the
back now. (I probably wanted the form to validate the input). Should I
just delete that property and make a new one of type TextArea?
For the column with static list-values, I sort of expected a drop-down
or multiselect filter of sorts.
Thanks for your ideas!
On a related note, the template for shown class shows up in the
livetable (as IssueTemplate matches the
option:"className":"Helpdesk.IssueClass").
This results in a row with 'emptyvalue' for every value. Does anyone
know of a quick fix for that?
Hi All,
I am having an issue with an error when running a velocity macro in xwiki.
Within the Oracle database I have a table containing a list of page names. I am trying to run a script where the system takes this list, cycles through all pages within a space and deletes any pages who's name appears on the list.
Here's what I have so far...
....
#set($sql = " where doc.space='AlarmIdentifiers' AND doc.name IN (SELECT data FROM lovtestdata)")
#DeletePagesLocal($sql)
....
#macro(DeletePagesLocal $sql)
#foreach($item in $xwiki.searchDocuments($sql))
#set($itemdoc = $xwiki.getDocument($item))
$itemdoc.delete()
#end
#end
The error I am getting is:
Caused by: com.xpn.xwiki.XWikiException: Error number 3223 in 3: Exception while searching documents with SQL [select distinct doc.space, doc.name from XWikiDocument as doc where (doc.hidden <> true or doc.hidden is null) and doc.space='AlarmIdentifiers' AND doc.name IN (SELECT data FROM lovtestdata)]
Wrapped Exception: lovtestdata is not mapped [select distinct doc.space, doc.name from com.xpn.xwiki.doc.XWikiDocument as doc where (doc.hidden <> true or doc.hidden is null) and doc.space='AlarmIdentifiers' AND doc.name IN (SELECT data FROM lovtestdata)]
Essentially it is saying that the table is not mapped.
If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great.
Many thanks
Luke

as Blog.BlogSheet and Blog.BlogCode.
Does anyone get this problem or knows how to fix it? Please help me, I

Hi all,
I've found a problem when exporting to PDF, all images with attributes height or width e.g. [[image:xyz.png||height="480" width="640"]] are not exported.

Hi everyone,
I'd like to compare XWiki to other solutions out there in order to better understand where XWiki would need to be polished. I'd then propose to work on listing these areas, proposing them on the list for future roadmaps and I'm also willing to work on investigating these features, then i will start discussion thread on them so that we reach a consensus on how we would view these features developed in XWiki Enterprise.
If you know of them, could you please list solutions that I could compare XWiki with, by providing URLs to them and explain why you think they could be compared to XWiki. Note that the solutions you list can be either open source or not.
Example:
Lotus Notes
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/products/notes/
Lotus notes has easy apps abilities close to XWiki abilities in term of App creation within a page. On some RFP XWiki is a challenger of Lotus Notes.
Thank you.

Hi guys,
I need to update wiki pages with minimum amount of data transferred across
the network.
Current approachs I've tried are are Rest and XmlRpc but they require me to
download the entire wiki page before I can update it.
Can anyone suggest how I can eliminate the download (it is slow and the 3G
coverage is not stable where my users are) and just simply append to the
top/bottom of the Wiki page directly?
Any help/advice is deeply appreciated, thank you!

Hello,
I tried to use ratings application but I wasn't able to install Ratings plugin. I followed the instruction:
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Ratings+Plugin
But when I verified correct installation by writing:
{{velocity}}
$xwiki.ratings.name
{{/velocity}}
it returns $xwiki.ratings.name instead of ratings.
I use xwiki 2.6.
Thanks a lot, Zuzana.
Hi,
Would be very nice to have a development wiki in order to get things going
on the new XWiki.org proposal:
http://incubator.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Improvements/XWikiOrgProposal2
Maybe Vincent can help with this? :)
Since the redesign is quite big and lots of spaces|panels|styles need to be
changed, morphing the current xwiki.org on the go would be quite difficult.
So, having the development wiki would be much easier to work decentralized
on different parts of it when people have time.
There are lot of areas of the proposal that are not covered and would be
really great to receive proposals and help from other members of the
community.
Also the implementation needs volunteers :) so any help is appreciated. We
will also use the new xwiki.org logo proposed by the community, so having
all this ideas come together and be put into action is very exciting.
Thanks for the support,
Caty

I am attempting to deploy xwiki for the first time. I am using JBoss 6 final
and XWiki 2.7 war file. I can reproduce this issue on Windows and HP-UX,
both running JBoss 6 final on JDK 6. The JBoss server starts without errors
when I remove the XWiki deployment. I have searched extensively in the
documentation and the web and found no solution, so any insight is
appreciated!

Hi,
We've upgraded our XWiki to 2.7 (from 2.1.1). Looks good, congrats for
all the work!
Though we have discovered one umlaut/encoding issue with Annotations:
The Annocation features breaks the page rendering when there are umlauts
(like the german äöü) in the main text.
Example:
1. The wiki page looks like this:
Frühling.
Sommer.
2. Now I add an annotation to the "Sommer". (Doesn't matter what text)
3. When enabling annotations an the page, it is rendered like this:
Fr.
Sommer.
4. When disabling Annotations (and refreshing the page), everything
looks good.
I can reproduce this with a clean default war/xar installation on:
- Tomcat 6.0.29 on Windows XP with IE 8 and Firefox 3.6. Database is MySQL.
- Glassfish 2.1.1 on Windows XP with IE 8 and Firefox 3.6. Database is
Firebird 2.1.3.
Interestingly it works on the Jetty/HSQLDB standalone installation.
Does anybody else also experience this problem?
Greetings
Reto
Greetings XWiki Users,
We are a small company of 3 people. For internal use and portal, I've
rolled out Trac... Then Redmine... then back to Trac. I have fond
memories of my Trac install and usage 3-4 years at "the big company" but
now that the 3 of us are on our own it doesn't seem to be that helpful.
Interconnecting Wiki, Issues/Tickets, and SCM Change Sets has great
powers in Trac. But we don't seem to be taking advantage of that now.
A year ago, I rolled out Plone for our external web. I managed to tweak
an attractive Skin/Theme. I added necessary content. Now it sits --
getting old and tired.
I'm starting to evaluate XWiki. So many options on a page is a bit
overwhelming, but other than that it looks very usable. My idea is to
merge our external web and internal portal -- so there isn't such a
distinct line drawn between our knowledge base and our customer facing
pages. I think we can manage (Trac) Issues/Tickets less formally on a
wiki page. The SCM integration was nice, but a simple Source Repository
Viewer might be all we need.
We are all familiar with Java and normally use Linux. The WebDav "fs"
features look nice.
I'm concerned about vitality. Maybe half of the "references" for XWiki
are stale -- site being dead or running something else now.
I'm concerned about security.
I'm concerned about resource footprint. (I imagine it's just App Server
+ a little, but migrating to a VPS would costly.)
Maybe I need some encouragement as I go along. :) And ideas about how
to make pages look less busy.
Thanks,
Scott
Hi XWikiers,
in the spirit of Christmas and because I have some free time right now, I
have updated the FAQ Application tutorial with 2 additions:
- Explanation of how to add a template provider -> makes it easier for
users to create FAQ entries
- Explanation of how to use a livetable as the homepage of the
application -> gives users more filtering options
I know the FAQ application was the first one I ever wrote in XWiki a couple
years back and it's still followed by many XWiki newcomers so I thought
those would be 2 useful additions, since they make XWiki applications much
smoother to use.
Enjoy: http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/FAQTutorial
Merry Christmas (too late) and Happy New Year (too early) to everyone!

Hello,
AbstractJSR223ScriptMacro failed to evaluate Script (or Groovy) Macro

Hello Xwiki,
i am trying to get the extention "MeetingManager" to work, using xwiki 2.5.1.
Import and Installation worked without error, when selecting a meeting the following line appears beneath the line "Meeting Information": #isManager($doc, $isManager) #isParticipant($doc, $isParticipant) #isCyclic($doc, $isCyclic). It looks the same as in the incubator (http://incubator.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Meetings/Test). Participants, Meeting notes and tasks do not allow to be saved.
Is a workaround regarding those issues available or a new version working with 2.5 and up planned?
Thanks in advance,
Sebastian

Hello,
Sorry to be coming up with so many questions.
At the moment, when certain documents on our Wiki are saved, we run a
handler to set some salient information in the document's properties, then
save the document to update them. This sets the "Editor" to the author of
the handler that is doing the resaving.
Is it possible to prevent this from happening, and keep the original editor?
We are using the standard
http://maven.xwiki.org/site/xwiki-core-parent/xwiki-core/apidocs/com/xpn/xw…,
boolean) save method with minor revision set to true.
Thank you,
Chris

Hello XWikiers,
I am troubled with XWiki's objects and documents save operations by a programme, groovy or velocity.
The following doesn't seem to work for me:
// <%
import com.xpn.xwiki.api.Document;
import com.xpn.xwiki.api.Object;
import com.xpn.xwiki.api.XWiki;
//XWiki xwiki;
Document doc = xwiki.getDocument("space.www");
// set to write mode (i.e. activate cloned back-end)
doc.setTitle(doc.getTitle());
Object obj = doc.getObject("Space.ClassName");
obj.set("propName",1);
doc.save("Fiddling");
doc = xwiki.getDocument("space.www");
println("propName: " + doc.getObject("Space.ClassName").getProperty("propName").getValue());
// %>
It does create a new history step at each display of this page but I can't seem to be able to set the property propName (which is of type boolean).
The property always displays as value-less (e.g. in the object editor).
thanks for clues and advice for saving xwiki objects.

Hi everyone,
I'm working with Xwiki for a few months now, and I am really pleased
with all it has to offer, and enjoying the vivid community mailing as
well.
I want to put a questionaire in my wiki, lets say 10 questions with
open text fields for answers and as well some multiple choice
possibilities. Then I want a submit button that sends the whole thing
to an email address.
I am experimenting with importing html forms, which work OK-ish,
except for the mailto submit, which gives nasty popups from IE. I come
from a HTML background and im not that stable (yet) with groovy, php
and all that.
What is the best way to make my questionnaire? How do i make a decent
submit button?
If all this is old news, please send me links to previous posts, but i
looked for the last 3 hours and did not find anything on this subject
that i understood.
Thanks everyone for your help in advance,
Wouter
Hi again,
I've been investigating problems with XWord.
One of the big problems on Vista and Windows7 is this line in Log.cs
EventLog.CreateEventSource(eventSource, logName);
It can't create a system log at this point as that must be done as
Administrator... and normally its the User running XWord/Word at this point.
This sort of thing is supposed to be done at the point of installation, but
I don't have any idea of how to do this yet.
Does anyone know? Can someone please explain how the XWord installer
works? The "Setup XWord" project appears to be completely empty to my
untrained eye!
thanks

Hi Developers!
I am sorry for some inconvenience, but at the ending of XE 2.x cycle, I saw
some discussions about plans for finilazing 2.x and for the 3.x future
development. All features are very interesting, very progressive and will
move XWiki forward.
But unfortunatly for a long time existing some very disappointing small bugs
and disappointing missed conveniences. I read carefully most of yours
discussions, but I don't see, that this problems stay in focus now. For this
reason, I want to ask about these issues.
This is important for me, because without resolving the following issues
maybe I will be forced to migrate to another colaboration adn
app.development platform.
If is it possible, can somebody give some plans about my issues (will be
resolved near future, not in plans, etc...)?
MULTILANGUAGE:
1) What about supporting any symbols (russian, chinese, space simbol and
others) in a attachment filenames?
2) When will be resolving problems with russian symbols when I try to import
document from some file (use openoffice service) or use viewoffice
macro/feature? (but when I copy document content from the clipboard - all is
ok)
3) What about idea of separating interface language selection and document
content language selection? I read this idea after was separated document
header and main application header.
4) Need possibilities to create own clases with supporting multilanguage
content (Also, old question). I can now create own applications only with
multilanguage interface (livetable headers, forms captions and etc.).
Each of these issues is not critical, but together its create point of view,
that XWiki ONLY DECLARE multilanguage, not real comprehensive
multilanguage...
Same situation with another group of questions.
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM:
5) Have you plans (and when) to fully implement XWQL? (possibility to use
XWQL in a own class query (database list property, resolve issues with dates
in XWQL, etc.).
6) What about full implementation of Groovy / Velocity? Witch language will
be main? Because in some situations I haven't possibility to use velocity
(for example in a sheduler script) in others - cannot normal use groovy ...
OTHERS:
7) office attachment preview - why "eye" exists only on doc, xls, pdf files?
What about docx, xlsx, odf, ... (all formats OpenOffice and Office2007)?
OpenOffice has suporting all these formats.
8) Main menu (green) "ADD" "Page" - Page creates with parent of current
space (if you didn't indicate space). Why? Normally (for example in a
"Create Page" Panel), if you didn't show special space page will be created
in a current space with parent of a current page. (As a result I cannot use
this feature at all).
9) some restrictions of a WebDAV implementation (issues with authentication,
browsers issues, ...)
As you can see, many of a old and new features (multilanguage, offce
preview, webdav, create pages besed on template provides, query datas,
create own classes, and etc.), are magnificent in a general, but not
implemented totally in details. As a result - most of these great features
users cannot use at all!
Maybe will be great to stop all future development and concentrate (1-2
month) on issuses like described here in a XWiki 2.x cycle? Many another
large-scale software teams made like this in a some periods. They freeze
development and focused on a past issues, on a clarification and deepening
of a curennt features results and details. What you think about this?
PS. All these issuses appeared before in a xwiki forums or in a jira ... If
need to define more exactly some of my questions - I, with great pleasure,
will give more explanations on each of them.

The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki
Enterprise 2.7 and XWiki Enterprise Manager 2.7.
Go grab them at http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/Main/Download
This is the last major release of the 2.x development cycle (there will
still be bugfix releases on the 2.7.x branch, if needed). The next
release is going to be 3.0.
This is a stabilization release, with no major new features to
highlight. Some minor gems:
* Ability to set a color theme on each space
* UNC support in XWiki Syntax 2.1
* Support search on space name in the REST API
* Support for customizing the office export process
For more information, see the Release notes at

-The XWiki dev team
I have created a XWiki class as described in the FAQTutorial (
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/FAQTutorial),
I have then modified the Document Sheet code, and I have tried to use groovy
scripting instead of velocity. However when creating a new object, I get the
error
Failed to execute the [groovy] macro
org.xwiki.rendering.macro.MacroExecutionException: You don't have the right
to execute this script
whereas the same works if I translate the code into velocity. Editing an
existing page with the groovy script works fine, it only fails when creating
a new document. Any idea?
thanks

Hi
I get this error (Failed to execute the [html] macro) if I change the following:
#macro(ShowFlag $CountryCode)
#set($ImageExtension = '.png')
#set($CountryCodeFile = $CountryCode + $ImageExtension)
{{html}}
<img src="../../download/CdLSAssociations/FlagAttachments/$CountryCodeFile"
alt="$CountryCode"
title="$CountryCode"/>
{{/html}}
#end
to this
#macro(ShowFlag $CountryCode)
#set($ImageExtension = '.png')
#set($CountryCodeFile = $CountryCode + $ImageExtension)
{{html clean="true"}}
<div class="flags">
<img src="../../download/CdLSAssociations/FlagAttachments/$CountryCodeFile"
alt="$CountryCode"
title="$CountryCode"/>
<\div>
{{/html}}
#end
Why does adding the <div class...> and </div> give this error?

Hi all,
On my wiki, I have many modification and my list grown...
I search on forum and in Internet and i have not found any script to clean
the history
I just find a suggestion...
you can write a scheduler task that runs once a week and
resets the history for the documents with at least 50 versions, or
delete all versions older than one month, for example.
How can I create this on my wiki ?
Thanks for all.

Hi all,
I need to include a Google Map in a page. In XWiki 1.0 syntax I add a iframe
and that works fine (http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Location/ISEP)
but with XWiki 2.0 syntax I can't make it work (
http://www.parisjug.org/xwiki/bin/view/Location/CIUP). I've added {{html
wiki="true"}} but it's the same problem.
How do I add a iFrame in a XWiki 2.0 page ? Is there an easier way to add a
Google Map (like a {{google map}} macro) ?
Thanks,
Antonio

Thank you.

Hi,
I am using a 3 columns layout and I would like to use a
background image in the right and left columns in such a way that the
background appears according to the height of the central column content
(i.e a 100% height of the main content area). What is the best way to
achieve this?
Thanks in advance

The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki
Enterprise 2.7 Release Candidate 1.
The 2.7 release is intended to be the last major release in the 2.x
cycle. As such, this release has stabilization as its primary goal, and
mostly provides bugfixes and minor improvements.
For more information, see the full release notes at:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/Main/ReleaseNotesXWikiEnterprise27RC1
Thanks,
The XWiki dev team.
I don't consider myself an expert at CSS, but I can usually manage anything I
need. However, I cannot figure out how to stop the contentmenu bar (has the
edit, export, and more actions dropdown menus) from staying put over the
content area as I scroll down the page.
I'm sure this is probably ridiculously easy to change and is something I'm
overlooking, but I'd appreciate the help.
If anyone wonders why I want to in the first place, I'm trying to decrease
the width of the wiki to the same size as our other webapp (to make them look
the same), and when I do, the bar skews over out of place when you scroll
down. We don't need the bar to stay in place as a person scrolls anyway, so
I'd like to just turn that off.
Thanks for any help,
Lenny

Exampleclass (also in livetable).
Also when I'm editing (inline form) document of that type, list of users is
displayed and it is sorted by FirstName, is it possible to sort list by
LastName instead?
Thank you
Frantisek

When I create the FAQ I get a screen that gives me the nice Wiki text input box and the Save & Continue and Save & View etc. buttons. If I wanted to modify this page how would I do it? How would I know where to modify such pages in the future so I'm not clogging up the email group with newbie questions?
Ultimately I'd like to give users of a space the ability to create a tree structure for classifying their FAQs. For example, one FAQ may be related to food and one FAQ may be related to computers. I'd like to add some sort of tree hierarchy for sorting/storing the FAQs.
Thanks
Hello group,
I'm trying to understand the options of xar import/export.
Given a set of pages, one has the following options to export:
- with history (ie. with previous version?)
- backup pack (with author-names?)
And to import:
- with history (i.e. ignore or not the fact that history is included in the xar?)
Are my interpretations correct?
Is there one way in these combinations to make it such as that the xar does not remove the previous history after importing?
thanks in advance

How can I change Tomcat to use port 80 instead of 8180? I tried changing the
connector port in the xml file then restarted but with no avail..
Also is there a benefit from using Nginx to proxy into Tomcat? If so how
would one do that?
Thanks :)

In case you guys didn't know the site is _crawling_ slow today. Almost like you guys are getting DDOS'd or something.
BTW thanks for your help Vincent.
Hi
I'd like to integrate the DisqUs javascript widget to an existing XWiki blog
section.
The site is www.parisjug.org. We deactivated the comment section
cause there's no captcha. Howerver I'd like to propose a solution
for our visitors, so one can comment easily our blogs posts.
DisqUs is an open solution that is based on a javascript widget.
Here is what I need to integrate in each page :
<div id="disqus_thread"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
/* * * CONFIGURATION VARIABLES: EDIT BEFORE PASTING INTO YOUR WEBPAGE * * */
var disqus_shortname = 'parisjug';
// Question pour XWiki : ici il faut que je configure un identifier
// c'est comme un sujet de Mail. Il faudrait que je mette par exemple
// l'url de la page XWiki afin que les commentaires soient regroupes
// ensemble par article. Bref est ce que vous pouvez me mettre un ID ?
// var disqus_identifier = 'unique_dynamic_id_1234';
// var disqus_url = 'http://example.com/permalink-to-page.html';
/* * * DON'T EDIT BELOW THIS LINE * * */
(function() {
var dsq = document.createElement('script'); dsq.type =
'text/javascript'; dsq.async = true;
dsq.src = 'http://' + disqus_shortname + '.disqus.com/embed.js';
(document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0] ||
document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]).appendChild(dsq);
})();
</script>
<noscript>Please enable JavaScript to view the <a
href="http://disqus.com/?ref_noscript">comments powered by
Disqus.</a></noscript>
<a href="http://disqus.com" class="dsq-brlink">blog comments powered
by <span class="logo-disqus">Disqus</span></a>
I am a beginner at XWiki, so I don't know how to add this Javascript
section. Plus, it requires some sort of unique URL so that each comment
stream on DisqUs is attached to a page on XWiki
Does anybody tried already to integrate it with XWiki ?
Thanks for your help

Hi,
I'm looking to build a script that will delete all registered users from our XWiki
that did not complete the registration by replying to the email and look like SPAM registration (firstname = lastname)
The property of the object of XWiki.XWikiUsers -> active (of type boolean) is false
Now this is my first attempt to HQL and i need some help
#foreach($result in $xwiki.search("
select distinct doc.fullName,
prop.value
from XWikiDocument as doc,
BaseObject as obj,
StringProperty as prop,
BooleanProperty as acti
where obj.className='XWiki.XWikiUsers'
and obj.name=doc.fullName
and prop.id.id=obj.id
and prop.name='first_name'
and prop.value is not empty
and prop.value in (
select prop.value
from StringProperty as prop2
where prop2.id.id=obj.id
and prop2.name='last_name'
and prop2.value=prop.value)
and acti.id.id=obj.id
and acti.name='active'
and acti.value=false
"))
* $result.get(0) - $result.get(1)
#end
BooleanProperty is a wild guess of me looking at StringProperty as a example
The query should look for users where first-name = last-name and active is false
If possible I would like to check if the document creation date/time is more then 8 hours old

Hello all.
I was wondering how one edits an FAQ entry after is been created? When on the FAQ.WebHome page (which contains all the FAQs I've created) how can I edit one of the existing FAQs to correct, for instance, a spelling error?
I see that you can click on Edit > Objects and choose the text of the FAQ. I would like the whole XWiki editing bar too.
Thanks!
Hello all.
1) Can we get the installer to run on 64-bit Windows?
2) Can we get the FAQ tutorial updated to reflect that
a) You need to be logged in with administrative privileges
b) What the default admin username/password are

Hi all,
I want to change the primary space name from "Main" to "Public" to make it
clear to wiki users who is going to have access to the info in that space.
I've tried changing every mention of "Main" to "Public" in the WEB-INF
directory, restarting jetty and refreshing the webbrowser, and STILL it
redirects to "Main".
I've adjusted web.xml, portlet.xml, struts-config.xml, xwiki.cfg
is this hard-coded into XWiki?
thanks

Hi all,
Is there a date property I can use to automatically display the current date
on a page? I would do it in javascript but you can't embed <script> tags in
{{html}} so is there a way of doing it in velocity? I can't seem to find any
info on this.
Thanks,
Lockie

According to this page http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/FAQTutorial I should have an XWiki space on the default home page. It says I should be able to search for 'XWikiClasses' and find it in the XWiki space. I see neither the XWiki space under the "Spaces" heading nor do I get anything from the search result. Not sure if that tutorial is referencing some older version of the software or what.
I would like to use the wiki to create an online volunteer signup sheet for
jobs and commissions for a benefit music festival
(www.festivalatitlan.com). I
want to display tasks involved for each job/commission, and have a space
for my
users to sign up and enter their contact information, and to be able to see
who
else has signed up in that section (though not necessarily the contact
info).
My username is VioletaForegger, and the server name could be
VoluntariosFestivalAtitlan2011(.myxwiki.org)

Hi,
I use XWiki XEM 2.4.4 and when I add an annotation to a page, the include
macro (also present in the same page) displays :
"Failed to execute the [include] macro"
It seems to be the issue XSKINX-39 but it was fixed a long time ago.
Nothing in the xwiki or tomcat log.
Is there something to verify ?
Thank for your help.

Hi all,
I've been looking for a wiki that simple MS Office users can use. XWord is
a brilliant idea and my friends jumped into it like ducks into a pond! The
familiarity of the MS Word really helped break down the barriers of learning
wikis.
However, I am totally confused about what version of XWord should be
installed.
On the one hand, there is this version that I assume is old:
http://xoffice.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/XWord/
the links point to IP addresses rather than a host name!!
then there is two versions here:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Download#HXWikiOffice
For "XOffice 1.2 M1", the link points to XWord 1.0
For "XOffice 1.1.1", the link points to XWord 1.1
so the "Latest" seems to give me an older version. I believe this is the
one that I installed, and we have found problems with uploading images from
XWord.
We are going to try the other version, but now I'd like to know: where is
version 1.2M1 ? Which one should I be using?
I checked the RoadMap, it looks a bit out of date. Is there anyone working
on XWord? This is a killer feature! I don't see any other wikis with this
sort of feature.
cheers

Hi again,
I wanted to protect my "Website Admin" from any non-admins,
So I edited the Rights to that space, and clicked the 'View' button on
'XWikiAllGroup' until it was a red cross.
Then I checked in the other webbrowser (logged in as a regular user), and
sure enough, I couldn't view the page.
However, I then went to this address:
http://domain.com/xwiki/edit/Website+Admin/
and the regular user was able to edit the page! which also includes a
'Preview' button, which shows them a View!
not good.
then it gets weirder, in a different way.
So far, as regular user, I've gone to Edit, then clicked Preview, and now I
clicked the back button, and I notice the status bar is going to my
redirect.com website...
I have set up my webserver (lighttpd), so that if anyone tries to go to
http://domain.com/ then it'll redirect to http://redirect.com - that way
noone can see the site until I am ready to make it live. The site currently
lives at http://domain.com/xwiki
So for some reason, going to Preview and back again has generated URLs that
are missing the xwiki part of the URL.
So anyway, I watch the page, and the usual Edit page reappears correctly,
but the CONTENT in the Edit window is wrong.
I am able to do this over and over again in Chrome, but not in Firefox.
If I go to Preview, then clear the Cache, and then hit the back button (on
browser, in Chrome), then I get a lot more rubbish in the Edit window:

Hi,
I tried to follow the instructions here:
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/ShortURLs
and the URLs look great, but I couldn't get the skins and logo to work.
The problem is this part of the instructions:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>defaultSkins</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.Default</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>relativeResourceBase</param-name>
<param-value>skins</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>defaultSkins</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/skins/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
This is totally wrong for me. I'm using xwiki + Jetty + lighttpd on Debian
stable/testing.
The correct entry into web.xml is to add:
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/resources/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/skins/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
in addition to:
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>action</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
It would also help if someone wrote WHERE to put these things in the web.xml
file. I guessed, and it appears to work.
thanks,
Paul
Hi,
I use latest XWiki with Tomcat 5 and MySQL 5. When I create page with
slash, like "test/test", nothing happens -- I got a blank browser
page. Maybe I forgot to add some options to Xwiki or Tomcat? Thanks in
advance.
Hi again,
I would like to get this working:
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Timeline
I've looked through the documentation and can't figure out what I'm supposed
to do with all that # code...
Is there something obvious I'm missing?
* I've added the javascript line to the bottom of the HTTP Meta info (which,
by the way - i only want to do on the page that has the timeline!),
* i've copy-pasted that code onto a page, but all i see is the code... no
timeline
thanks
Paul
Still more problems,
I just created a new space (called "space to delete" - i'm trying to figure
out how to delete a space, is it enough to just delete all of the content?
do i need to delete something else to clear the Rights settings for the
space out of the database?)
Then, first problem, I noticed on the "Recent Changes" section of the front
page that the space was created 6 hours ago. Is this a UTC/GMT thing? But
that doesn't make any sense either, because local time is 2pm, UTC is
earlier at 6am.
So I went across to check Timeline, and it gave me the "v1 is null" error
again.
I watched in Firebug and identified that point of failure, see attached
screenshots.
In short, it checks typeof v1 == "object" before it calls n1=v1.getTime()
HOWEVER, when v1 is null, v1 is also an object! So this test is invalid.
Yes, this is a fault with the timeline javascript, however why is there null
date/times being passed to the javascript in the first place?
thanks
Paul
Hi all,
I just reset my forgotten password on my xwiki. I clicked on Forgot

Hi again,
I'm investigating the problem with Publishing via XWord (with images), and
it appears to be a problem with XWiki rather than XWord
* Edit Sandbox Test Page1 in XWord
* Clear entire document with ctrl-a, delete
* Insert an image
* Click Publish
I hacked XWord a bit so I could see what it was doing.
in XWikiXMLRPCClient.cs around line 220 in method SavePageHTML(), it does
this:
page.content = proxy.Convert(token, page.content, "xhtml/1.0", syntax);
lets break it down...
proxy.Convert calls:
/// <summary>
/// Converts a wiki source from a syntax to another syntax.
/// </summary>
/// <param name="token">The authentication token.</param>
/// <param name="source">The content to be converted.</param>
/// <param name="initialSyntaxId">The initial syntax of the
source.</param>
/// <param name="targetSyntaxId">The final syntax of the returned
content.</param>
/// <returns>The converted source.</returns>
[XmlRpcMethod("confluence1.convert")]
String Convert(String token, String source, String initialSyntaxId,
String targetSyntaxId);
Looking on the webserver logs, I see a call to xmlrpc
I hacked XWord a little so it told me what page.content originally was...
this is what was sent to xmlrpc
<div class="WordSection1">
<p>
<span>
<!--startimage:image001.png-->
<img width="236" height="158" src="image001.png" alt="demo_image.png"
/>
<!--stopimage-->
</span>
</p>
</div>
so thats very simple. I've checked with another document that just contains
text, and what proxy.Convert() will return is the wiki-code equivalent of
the HTML that it was given.
HOWEVER, with this as the input, the xmlrpc call NEVER returns - the dialog
box stays stuck, and I know it never returns as i asked a messagebox to
appear after the call, which never appears.
Checking the website logs reveals a boat load of errors, I've attached them
in a text file.
I can't see how XWord could do things better... its asking the xwiki for the
correct syntax, and its passing valid html.
ideas?
Thanks,
Paul
Hi, I have been trying to setup my eclipse to develop an exception, as shown

Am I missing something?
do I perhaps have to install the whole xwiki source code base first? how?

Hi there,
Hasn't anyone else noticed that the option
# rendering.imageDimensionsIncludedInImageURL = true
completely breaks all transparent png files?
see attached image file, try adding it to an xwiki sandbox page.
the image will appear to have a BLACK background rather than a transparent
background, if the "imageDimensionsIncludedInImageURL" is turned on.
AND if you turn OFF that option, the background will still be black in the
"Insert or edit image" dialog box when editing the page.
does anyone else see this?
thanks

Hi again,
I wanted to create a space for making notes for myself about administrating
xwiki.
As admin, I created new space, and wanted to add a link to XWikiPreferences.
I clicked Edit, to edit the page.
I clicked Link, to add a link to another page.
I expanded XWiki, but did not find XWikiPreferences
I typed in XWikiPreferences (see screenshot), and it seemed to work fine -
it found its child pages too
I clicked select, and then I saw what you see in the screenshot - a
"DocumentDoesNotExist" returned and squashed into a small box.
what happened?
thanks
Paul
Hi!
Kindly ask you to solve some unclear topics:
I. How can I find information about such dependencies:
- How many server RAM memory is required for each 1GB of attachments?
- The same for CPU.
How to estimate this and calculate hardware? What are main principles?
II. Is it possible to customise WYSIWYG editor separetly for each space in one sub-XWiki ?
III. Is there any way to manage anchors from Links plugin in WYSIWYG editor?
The logic is:
- select space
- select page
- select anchor on this page
- put the link
For now, even if I write down XWiki.WebHome#anchor in the link field manually, I get #anchor cut out.
And the only way to do it via source code editor manually. Then it works fine. Personally me found more or less suitable solution with FF plugin https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/416/
It's very easy to get anchor, but not so easy to put it. For unqualified users it makes XWiki "one-handed".
IV. Is there any way to make TOC macro to build table of contents of several pages and put it on one page?
For Example:
toc Page1, Page2, Page3 ....
It's very useful, when one can group all project highligts together in one TOC.
I used to use Track Wiki, it works excellent in there. I suffer from it's absence now :-)
Thank you
Dmitry Bakbardin
Hi,
I have an existing XWiki enterprise 1.3.1 running with a mysql backend
and storage version 7351. I would like to upgrade to XWiki enterprise
2.6, but I am running into problems.
- a xar export eats all ram, and the max heap is already the maximum
of my 32-bit linux (-Xmx2600m) . When I increase it the jvm fails to
start. The backup.xar stops at around 1.1GB, and then I gets
OutOfMemory execeptions all over the place.
- when I install 2.6 using the same mysql backend, the storage
migration throws a massive amoutn of errors, mostly due to "Exception
while saving object XWiki.XWikiUsers". This is migration
R15428XWIKI2977.
Is there a way to perform an offline migration, so I can debug where
needed, ot a way to perform an export and import in a clean database
offline?
Regards,
Leen
I see in the administration documentation:
Encrypt cookies using IP address
Even if the password cannot be extracted from the cookie, the cookies might
be stolen See: XSS and used as they are.
By setting the xwiki.cfg parameter xwiki.authentication.useip to true you
can block the cookies from being used except by the same ip address which
got them.
But when I look in xwiki.cfg, there is no mention of useip. Is this option
still recommended for use?
thanks
Paul
Hi all,
I see in the "Access Rights" documentation that there are 3 ways it can be
set up:
Open Wiki
Public Wiki
Public Wiki with confirmed registration
All of those options allow the user to register without forcing the admin to
confirm the registration.
I don't want users to be able to register themselves. I have a small set of
special users and I want to be able to register them manually, or at least
have to confirm their registration before an account is created for them.
any normal visitor should not be able to modify anything on the website, and
that includes registering themselves.
is this possible?
thanks
Paul
Hi
Our XWIKI is multi-language.
When we translate a document into other languages how are these documents stored?
The issue I have is that when we update the original it is not easy to remove the incorrect translations
How do I remove only a translation without removing the default language (or all the translations at once, without the original)?

Hi,
today I've noticed that something bad had happen to some of the attachments in my XWiki, here is a
screenshot from one of the affected pages:
http://i.imgur.com/p6Xs7.png
Take a look, a couple of attachments have been uploaded but only one is displayed in the attachment tab.
Person who uploaded them claims that yesterday they were ok, but today somehow they disappeared.
It's weird that there is no trace of any operation on them after the uploading phase.
I'm using XWiki Enterprise 2.5.32127 with MySQL data base (Server version 5.1.47).
To add more context, last days my users started to add more attachements to their pages. Currently the
database after the dump is around 200 MB large.
Also looked at the logs and found several interesting fragments ( all of the log snippets are from the time
this have been noticed ):

I'm counting on your help since I don't know it's more XWiki issue or maybe I misconfigured something.
Regards,

hi -
I'm one of the stranded former users of the free hosted service wik.is
which mindtouch precipitously cancelled, forcing all users to either go
to one of their paid plans (which don't match my usage), or leave.
I'm going to host it myself this time, and have been looking through
the alternatives. I'm attracted to xwiki for several reasons:
full ACL support; ldap authentication; good open source license without
a bunch of proprietary features; Balsamiq and Word integrations;
wysiwyg editing; and strong REST api.
>From my first glance I do still have some reservations:
1. One concern is convenient maintenance of sorted children.
I see that in xwiki's own documentation wiki, this isn't done:
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/
is just maintained manually as an index page.
As far as I can tell, by default children are just sorted by creation order.
With the http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Plugins/DocumentTreePlugin
they can instead be sorted by name.
Lastly, there is http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Plugins/SortedDocumentTreePlugin
But I really don't understand the instructions for "importing" a class to get
an additional sortable attribute.
Also I don't know if these plugins support sort order of spaces too, or not.
Ideally, however it is done, when a page is created, the form would have not
only the page title and parent title, but a place for an optional sort value.
2. I'd like to be able to export an entire space as a big PDF.
I can't tell if this plugin will do that:
http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Applications/PDFExportPanelApplication
For example, suppose I wanted the whol xwiki AdminGuide as a single PDF,
what would I do?
3. I'd like a real bare bones look -- even slimmer than Confluence or MediaWiki,
and both of those are a little less cluttered than the Toucan skin.
I'm not finding any example skins that are like that.
4. I like the idea of supporting office app clients.
But it seems there is some clumsiness with XOffice specifying a parent:
http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XOFFICE-243
And I can't find any documentation on editing/creating content from OpenOffice
and/or via any webdav client. Things like URL conventions, etc.
This page http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/Architecture
mentions XOO (Xwiki OpenOffice) but there is nothing else about it:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Search?text=XOO&wikinames=&space=
5. I might be blind but I can't find any documentation for the blogging support.
6. The page http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Plugins/
says "Components" are preferred over plugins but the link to "Components" goes nowhere.
In general the documentation wiki is pretty confusing. The Enterprise docs link to basically
all the same places as the platform docs. There seems to be a mixture of information that is
years out of date and information about ideas not yet implemented. Sadly it is an example
of the dangers of using a wiki :(.

Hi, I create a page with macros, then I included it on another page
(#includeMacros("Sprava.Macros"), or {{include
document="SpaceOf.DocumentToInclude"/}}). Problem is when page is rendered,
sometimes are macros proceed, but sometimes when I change page where I use
macros I got instead rendered macro only name of macro (e.g.
#getType($type)). Page with macros is not changed. Seems to me like a bug.
Another problem is when I left empty line in macro page I got sometimes in
rendered page this text:
<div class="wikimodel-emptyline"></div><div
class="wikimodel-emptyline"></div><div class="wikimodel-emptyline"></div>
Some empty lines do not affect result some yes.
Any idea?

Hi!
I'm using the following:
$xwiki.jsfx.use("js/xwiki/table/tablefilterNsort.js")
$xwiki.ssfx.use("js/xwiki/table/table.css")
When defining rules="all", and I export the table to pdf, it doesn't come
with the lines it was supposed to come with... The only thing that works is
to define border="1".
How can I get all the lines when exporting my table?

Atenciosamente,

What are the recommended specs for a server to run XWiki? I understand this
is quite a vague question as there are many variables to consider. I would
like to run this on a VPS so a general spec would be nice.
Thanks

Hello xwiki users,
I just installed xwiki on windows server. I unpacked the stand alone
version Stable: xwiki-enterprise-jetty-hsqldb-2.6.zip into a directory
called XWikiHome and setup MySQL data base, created a new user. When I am
in the server itself, I can login. But when I try to login from another
computer I cannot login and the xwiki creates a message:
WARN xwiki.MyPersistentLoginManager - Login cookie validation hash mismatch!
Cookies have been tampered with
I have seen a few other emails regarding the same issue. But I don't see a
solution. One suggestion was to change cookie version
to cookie.setVersion(1); but I am not sure where this change needs to be
made? My XWikiHome folder contains the following folders and files:
XWikiHome:
database (folder)
jetty (folder)
META-INF (folder)
webapps (folder)
start_xwiki
start_xwiki
start_xwiki_debug
start_xwiki_debug
stop_xwiki
stop_xwiki
xwiki
Within the folders, I don't see any configuration file or a file like a
"..LoginManager..". Did I not install this correctly? But I can actually
open the pages when I am in the server from internet explorer. But from
another computer, I get the login page but cannot login. As a side note, I
have tried version 2.5 last week and I did not have this problem. Then I
wanted to change the location of the xwiki, so I deleted that directory and
reinstalled the 2.6 version into another drive.
I appreciate your suggestions. Thanks, - Nevzat
Hi,
lately a user reported to me another issue regarding sections.
Scenario, there are two users and document like that:
== section 1 ==
sect content
== section 2 ==
sect content
== section 3 ==
sect content
1. UserA opens section 2 to edit
2. UserB opens whole document to edit ( no other way but with force editing )
3. UserB adds section 1.5 in the way it is:
== section 1 ==
sect content
== section 1.5 ==
sect content
== section 2 ==
sect content
== section 3 ==
sect content
4. UserB saves document.
5. UserA changes content of the section 2 and saves document.
The result is that userA saves overwrites section 'section 1.5' instead of 'section 2'.
I can see that you're indexing section with numbers and add this as a parameter to edit link and that is
probably the reason of shifting the section change but I've just checked the Media wiki sandbox and the same
scenario causes no errors - they are also adding the 'section' parameter but somehow an extra identification
is performed as well..
Is there any chance to get that working right ? maybe some configuration switch..
Thanks,
Piotr
Hey guys, just subscribed to this list.
I'm currently stuck between two softwares: XWiki and Foswiki.
What I'm looking for is:
Speed/Performance
Access control (Guests can only read and not modify, certain users can
modify)
Good theming/Easy theming.
An overall good wiki with user-friendly UI.
Foswiki is flatfile and xwiki is SQL based. I hear that SQL is generally
better, is that the case? Foswiki seems to be pretty fast even if it is
flatfile.
Thanks :)

I have recently started to fill my wiki with lots of content. Currently
I have 4772 XWiki documents and 2260 XWiki objects. Not so much I think,
but it looks like I'm reaching a limit.
This is first time I have looked into SQL internals of XWiki.
Goddamn! There were no indices except primary ones! OK, I have lowered
load time from 15sec to 9sec having created indices (e. g. XWD_FULLNAME
in xwikidocs)
Still too much.
Maybe I could improve it any further, but some queries are maid the way
I don't know obvious way to make index for them. For instance, I can see
"where hidden <> 1 or hidden is null" in queries. It would be nice to
see "where hidden = 0" instead (and null being not allowed)

2 second is also too much, but how do you keep response time that low?
Is it just due to the fact you scatter documents across different
databases or may be there was a huge improvement from 2.4M1?
http://pascal.toom.su/Index is even not a dynamic page, it just has lots
of wiki links.

Hello XWiki Community,
Christmas is coming, and I have a gift for you. I hope you will enjoy it.
As you may know, recently, a Brazilia advertising agency produce fake
vintage ads for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Skype. I thought these
posters are really amazing. You will find the story here
http://www.dailybloggr.com/2010/08/cool-vintage-ads-of-facebook-twitter-you…
More recently, I read the book "From Airline Reservations to Sonic the
Hedgehog: A History of the Software Industry" by Martin Campbell-Kelly
(2003). Each chapter is illustrated by an official old ad of a
software. And I was charmed by the poster of AUTOFLOW, showing the
face of a woman with beautiful eyes.
http://u1.ipernity.com/17/25/71/9552571.c1e1c1ef.jpg
This give me an idea : to make a fake XWiki ad, copying the Autoflow
one. Of course, XWiki is a so great wiki that it doesn't need
advertising to spread the world. Maybe it can help... It's the result
of this idea that I'm glad to give you today.
I paid attention to produce this work with public domain material so I
think I can publish this poster in the public domain (even if I'm far
from being a license specialist). So I encourage you to print it on
your t-shirt, on your mug, to modify it, to share it, to redistribute
it.
I've tried to preserve the message of the ad, just replacing some
words, or at least to retain the spirit of the original sentences. But
I'm sure you can find better arguments and it's easy to edit with
Gimp.
This page will show you the fake ad for XWiki in a small size but it's
easier to compare with the original work :
http://www.ipernity.com/doc/sinclair/9552524
The full work is available in a public google doc folder (you don't
need to have an account)
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B2p8AuezuBCcZDc2MWY0M2EtNjBiNC00MWRmLWEzZT…
- copyrights.txt describes the origins of the photo and fonts used
- XWikiForChristmas.xcf is the Gimp file of the poster
- XWikiForChristmas.jpg is the full resolution image (exported from Gimp)
For your information, Autoflow was a software development tool that
produces automatically the flowchart of a computer program. In 1965,
Autoflow was the first commercial software to be sold as an
independant product (not attached to a hardware device). It was a big
success for ADR, its editor, with more than 10000 units sold.
To conclude, I hope this encourage you, the XWiki community, to
develop smart features, to maintain a high level of quality and to
support kindly stupid users.
Long live XWiki and merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi,
I'm testing XE 2.6 with XEM. My plugins/applications are
- xwiki-application-application-manager-1.16.xar
- xwiki-application-wiki-manager-1.22.xar
- xwiki-enterprise-manager-application-xem-2.6.xar
(corresponding .jar files are at WEB-INF\lib)
Our Environment is Jboss 4.2.1 web server and Oracle 10g database.
There is a problem with the Activity Stream at the homepages of the farm
members.
The "Activity Stream" keeps empty and there are some identical lines within
the jboss console log:
15:50:59,267 ERROR [DefaultVelocityEngine] Left side ($events.size()) of '>'
operation has null value at unknown namespace[line 648, column 21]
After disabling the "Right column" of the Dashboard page the error does not
appeare.
The error does not happen at the master wiki of the farm
(http://localhost/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Dashboard), only at all member wikis.
Do you have a hint where to look further?
Thanks,
Rudi

I'll tried to upload a number of files with these results:
1 - file type .jpg, size 2 MB --> ok
2 - file type .mp3, size 11 MB --> ko (?)
2a - when I used the button "attach" (at the bottom of the page, in the
attachments folder) I received no info but no attachments had been loaded
2b - when I used the "Link" command in Edit mode I received an "error"
message but the file had been correctly attached (and is still there and
correctly downloadable)
3 - file type .mp3, size 70MB --> ko (+ crash?)
I tried to upload a extra-large file in Edit mode. Everything appear to be
all right but after 6 minutes (equivalent to 15-18MB of upload @ 0.5Mb/s)
sharply the traffic on LAN was stopped but the upload popup continue to be
active and "busy". No errors info at all. After 2 hours I closed the popup
and correctly continue to edit the page. I saved. No attachments found.
Questions.
There are limits on file size?
There are limits on total files amount?
It's possible to state the limits on the popup (just to remember limits)?
Many thanks

Hello,
I've installed a wiki farm and observed a minor problem:
in the main wiki, when I click in the standard search textfield, the
text ("search...") vanishes. In my virtual wikis it doesn't.
This is the tag (absolutely identical):
<input class="globalsearchinput withTip" id="headerglobalsearchinput"
name="text" value="search..." size="15" type="text">
The text field from the panel is working fine (everywhere).
Best wishes
Werner
Dear all,
I have recently installed Xwiki Enterprise 2.6 on our server (Ubuntu 10), deployed in Tomcat6. For this server we use two domains: domain1.example.com and domain2.example.com. By default Tomcat (and the XWiki) can be accessed via http://domain1.example.com:8080/xwiki/, but for security and easy-access we need the xwiki to be accessed from http://domain2.example.com/xwiki.
This is why Tomcat is fronted by Apache2 using the AJP connector via a proxy pass which is configured in Apache sites-enabled:
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin root(a)example.com
DocumentRoot /var/www
ServerName domain2.example.com
<Proxy *>
AddDefaultCharset Off
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
</Proxy>
ProxyPass /xwiki ajp://localhost:8009/xwiki/
ProxyPassReverse /xwiki ajp://localhost:8009/xwiki/
</VirtualHost>
This configuration works, the xwiki can be accessed from domain1 and domain2 however there are some problems. The first thing I noticed is that the same wiki has has a different skin on each domain (no xar loaded, no user logged in). Second whereas I can access the login page athttp://domain1.example.com:8080/xwiki/bin/login/XWiki/XWikiLogin, trying to access the login page athttp://domain2.example.com/xwiki/bin/login/XWiki/XWikiLogin fails with an infinite http redirect (redirecting to the same login page, HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily).
My questions are: is this type of configuration supported? If so, why is xwiki generating a redirect on the login page to the login page on domain2 and not on domain1? Thank you for the help.
Best,
Mark
Hello
I have installed XWord without any problem on my Windows XP & Word 2007
system, however I'm encountering a strange problem. If I create a page in an
existing space in XWord, it gets the name as SpaceName.PageName as normal,
however the page seems to have no parent space, almost as if it is another
WebHome. The breadcrumbs for the page rather then being SpaceName >>
PageName, it just has the PageName (again much like a normal WebHome page).
It's kind of a problem because my menu system automatically lists the pages
within each space using a "#foreach($item in $xwiki.searchDocuments($sql))"
method, only the pages created in XWord don't appear at all.
Also, if I edit a page originally created in XWiki it suffers the same
problem if I edit it and publish it in XWord. If I go to the Information tab
that lists all child pages, only pages created in XWiki appear, and any that
have been edited or created in XWord do not. The only way I can find them is
to lucene search them.
Is it supposed to function like this? Any help on this would be really
appreciated, I hope I can get this functioning correctly.
Thanks
