Hi I need to assign a blog category to my document created by code?
def vCategory = "Informatie"
vObjArticle.set("category",vCategory)
category is a special typed-attribute in BlogPostClass object of type "database tree"
I have defined the blog category "Informatie" through the category editor of the blog application
but after saving the document and inspecting the object it does not show
the tekst "Informatie", but it appears to be empty
Is this the right way of setting such a attribute? If not, how to?

Hi everyone,
as mentionned before, I have followed some tips given before (by Anca Luca I
believe) regarding the private RSS feed.
I have also found Vincent's post on private rss on XWiki.org (
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/PrivateRssFeeds)
But I still can't make it work ....
I have tried the feed in several reader, and it just won't work.
Or to be more correct, I can subscribe to the feed, and it shows me the
latest changes, but it won't refresh ....
BTW, the generic rss feed does not contain the "&basicauth=1 " recommended
by Vincent, and I don't know how to change that ....
If I can't make the RSS work, I will end-up with zero adoption here ....
Any help is welcome ...
Xavier
There is a severe bug in OW2 farm that makes impossible to release
files it seems, i'm sending them a mail.

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your quick answer on my previous question.
I am trying to write a bibliography/cite macro (I am happy to share
once it dies something useful). I am writing the macro in a wiki page
and I am using groovy as scripting language.
I would like to have access to the URL of an attachment of the page
the macro is used on. I am doing so by using
doc.getAttachmentURL( <name> );
however, the URL uses the page the Macro is saved in, not the page the
macro is used on. I think I managed this before using velocity.
So my question: what would be the right way of accessing the Document
of the page the macro is placed on?
Thanks for your help,

The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki
Enterprise and XWiki Enterprise Manager 2.2.3.
This is a bug fix release for the 2.2 branches.
It fixes mainly one important regression around documents objects and
references handling so if you are using a previous 2.2.x version you
should really upgrade to 2.2.3.
New features:
* XWIKI-4983 - Add Reference Resolver for resolving string
representations of references as a relative reference
* XWIKI-4899 - Add Model API to get default Entity Reference values
Improvements:
* XWIKI-5003 - Add optional parameter support for Reference
Resolvers and Serializers
* XWIKI-5002 - Implement Explicit Reference Resolver and Serializer
* XWIKI-4995 - Introduce duplicate() method in BaseObject and
XWiiDocument to clone a document but with new GUIDs
* XWIKI-4921 - LiveTable improvement to remember filter even in
case of shift-reload or with Internet Explorer
* XWIKI-4606 - Statistics exclusions by user
* XWIKI-5028 - Improve the performance and functionality of the
whatever:hover behavior
* XAADMINISTRATION-114 - Extract successful registration message
to a new page for easier customization and link to it from admin UI
* Updated translations
Important Bugs fixed:
* XWIKI-4996 - Statistics broken in Oracle
* XWIKI-5006 - Wiki Copy doesn't work anymore with relative references
* XWIKI-5007 - BaseElement#setWiki produce nullpointerexception
when called before setName
* XWIKI-4987 - Cannot import as backup pack any longer
* XWIKI-4992 - Counting documents using parametrized HQL query fails
* XWIKI-4946 - Default values for the required macro parameters
should be send to the server by the WYSIWYG
* XWIKI-5016 - Display a message in place of the livetable
infinitely loading in a environment where its JS can't be executed
(example : noJS or in the WYSIWYG)
* XWIKI-5013 - HTML code visible when inserting velocity macro
displaying a property
* XWIKI-5000 - Image links of office imports gets broken when
using an OpenOffice 3.2 back-end
* XWIKI-4994 - Invalid document references for Cloned and Merged
Objects in Documents
* XWIKI-4973 - Live table sort does not work for anything else
than StringProperty fields
* XWIKI-5009 - Saving a xwiki/1.0 document from another wiki can
produce error or wrong backlinks
* XWIKI-4130 - Three closing parenthesis, ))), are evaluated even
though no open equivalence exists
* XWIKI-4988 - After deleting an imported attachment the user is
redirected to the Global Administration
* XWIKI-5023 - Impossible to properly install XE from scratch
* XWIKI-5026 - Wrong codes in ApplicationResources_pt
* XE-620 - A double quote contained in a field listed in the
livetable break the livetable
* XE-623 - Live Table filtering does not work on fields with
"Multiple Select" (but without Relational Storage)
* XE-621 - Live table does not show if some fields value of type
"StringProperty" contain carriage return
* XE-616 - LiveTable impacted by velocity set to null option
* XE-619 - Several bugs and improvements of the LiveTableResults macros
* XE-614 - Errors in UI for deleted documents & attachments
* XAADMINISTRATION-120 - SQL injection via "Forgot username" page
* XAADMINISTRATION-119 - Exception displayed when entering an
invalid email address in the ForgotUsername form
* XATAG-36 - Inconsitent management of tags case

-The XWiki dev team
I have downloaded the windows executable version 2.2.2
As part of installation - I opted not to include the default wiki pages
After installation, starting the wiki - an empty wiki appears
When selecting on Administration space and trying to import
xwiki-enterprise-wiki-2.2.2.xar file - I see a message on the panel
indicating that there were errors and so no documents were imported
(off course I don't know what the errors are)
I have tried the same thing when installing 2.2.2 as a standalone war
under tomcat. I have tried using both postgres and SQL Server 2005
and I end up getting the same place as the scenario above
The db gets created - I see the empty wiki page but I can not
import any .xar files. I don't see any memory errors in logs - I have the
recommended values set for MaxPermSize and max heap
Am I doing something incorrect here considering the fact that
in all scenarios, I can't import any .xar files
I really would like to get my installation running under either Postgres
or SQL Server.
At this point, I am getting frustrated. Any help would be highly
appreciated
Hi all,
I am recognizing that you are spending some effort on the development of the ToDo application. Some of you knows, that I am loving the TaskManager application :). My question is: Is there any chance to get best of both?
The advantages of the TaskManager application:
- Self numbering (like a small ticket system)
- Tasks are linked to a page, i.e opening any wiki pages shows immediately the open issues for the current context
- Comments: Comments allows noting the progress of an issue just in a few words.
Thanks

I think two problems may be related. After update to XE 2.2.2 the log is

Hey,
I'm trying to implement a status report application that uses the searching mechanism of the FAQ tutorial. I've looked at the code and it seems that in FAQ.FAQSearch, it includes in context, a document called XWiki.WebSearchCode and another called XWiki.Results. The file doesn't exist on my own wiki and I can't search it up on xwiki.org. I do, however, have files Main.WebSearch and Main.LuceneSearch. Still doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to implement the search bar from the FAQ?

Hello,
I have first configured (and used without problem) my Watchlist when I
was working with XWiki Enterprise 2.0.
In this case when I clicked on the menu : WATCH -> MANAGE YOUR
WATCHLIST, I am redirected to this page :
http://myDomain/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/WatchListManager and I can really
manage my watchlist.
But, after an update to XWiki Enterprise 2.2.1, when I click on the
menu : WATCHLIST, I am redirected to this URL :
http://myDomain/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/MyUserName?category=watchlist and
the page diplayed is the one to configure my user profil (that is to say
the page same page obtained from :
http://myDomain/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/MyUserName).
I wonder me why ? (it's quite strange).
(For precising :
- It happens the same with XWiki Enterprise 2.2.2.
- I can nevertheless access to the watchlist page by typing directly in
the adress bar of my browser :
http://myDomain/xwiki/bin/view/XWiki/WatchListManager ).
Thanks,

Hello there to Everybody,
I need to turn a set of word documents into an xWiki hypertext, and I want to do it with xEclipse. I have this, hopefully simple, question to ask: is it possible to accomplish such a task working completely off-line - and I mean that (i) I do not want to install an xWiki server on my PC, (ii) I want to prepare an hypertext draft to be next tryed on my customer's premises?
I have installed xEclipse on my PC, but yet I cannot find the way to import a word document to start editing the links.
Thanks,
Omar.-
Hello,
i found a problem when in a header section there is a broken link.
for example, in wiki editor mode i have:
= SOME TITLE [[Some Broken Link]] =
if i click "Preview" button the page is shown correctly. Changing the editor
to WYSIWYG mode, when i click "Preview" button the following error appear:
content: Exception while parsing HTML
and the page won't show but it stands in editor mode. Tried with IE7, FF
3.5.8, Chrome and Safari.
I see this content http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-4536 classified
as bug and closed, but there were no fixes.
Any workaround?

Hi,
is there a way to configure the rights of a registered user?
In my xwiki a newly registered user has the right to EDIT on his own user-document.
However, the rights do not allow them to "view" it. So the user could NOT view his own user-document.
The user can call /bin/edit/... this works, but this could not expected from a new user
When I explicitly give view access, everything works fine.

Hi,
Some little issues I think I found on PDF Export (XE 2.2.1/MySQL5):
- if using "includechilds=n", and if child pages refer to parent as
"xwiki:Space.Page" (which seems to be default now), they are not included.
To get included, I had to change parent value in child to "Space.Page" only
- Table Of Content chapter in generated PDF does not work very well when
there are included pages. If headings levels are similar in child and
parent, then TOC contains only child headings. So I renumbered child
headings depending on where they would be inserted, and now TOC is empty.
Tested with 1 page and 1 child, but really not exhaustive
I can create JIRAs if you believe these are bugs,

Hi,
I want to export a xWiki page to be seen on word. I tried rtf export, but it
doesn't seem to be working. I got an rtf document, but when I open the
document on word it is incomplete. The tables aren't showed. Also, if I
tried to open the rtf on OpenOffice Writer it crashed. I am also trying
with xoffice. It works better than rtf export. But the images on the page
aren't exported to the .doc file.
Is there something I could do to get the images on the resulting .doc file?
Thanks,
Abel
Thanks for the tip Sergiu. I will give this a try and hope it works out.

I am puzzled and have no idea where to go except into SQL, which is
not really a safe thing.
thanks for hints.

Hi Sergiu,
I phrased my question incorrectly. I am required to load CSS files
conditionally using JS. There is a GPL licensed Nifty Cube library
that is used for creating round corner effects which I was trying to
import into my wiki. Here is the code snippet where I am stuck:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
var oldonload=window.onload;
if(typeof(NiftyLoad)!='function') NiftyLoad=function(){};
if(typeof(oldonload)=='function')
window.onload=function(){oldonload();AddCss();NiftyLoad()};
else window.onload=function(){AddCss();NiftyLoad()};
function AddCss(){
niftyCss=true;
var l=CreateEl("link");
l.setAttribute("type","text/css");
l.setAttribute("rel","stylesheet");
l.setAttribute("href","niftyCorners.css");
l.setAttribute("media","screen");
document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(l);
}
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks...
Hello folks,
Is it possible to call a CSS code from inside the JS code in XWiki.The
Javascript code has been written to import CSS from a specific folder in the
web application structure. However, in XWiki, I've added both the JS & the
CSS code to the same Page using the Javascript & Stylesheet extensions. The
problem is that the JS file is unable to find the CSS code embedded inside
the same Page. Do I have to use the URL of the Stylesheet or do I write some
velocity code to get the run-time URL of the CSS file? Would this method
work.Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Hi everyone (devs and users),
While we have a clear governance for write access to our source
repository (http://dev.xwiki.org), we're missing a clear governance
for xwiki.org. The idea is to address mainly the following 2 questions:
1) who "owns" it and thus "controls" (or rather provides direction
for) its content
2) can it be used for business advertising (support, paid packages,
consulting services)
Bit of History about XWiki SAS
========================
- XWiki SAS (http://xwiki.com) is the company founded by Ludovic
Dubost the creator of XWiki (I'm the CTO of XWiki SAS in addition to
being a committer here).
- Most of the active contributors are also employed and paid by XWiki
SAS to develop the XWiki software. Today that's
-- 12.5 committers (developers)
-- 1 open source product manager (see http://markmail.org/thread/ggaaw4u6yyci4oan
for its definition)
-- 1 designer
-- 1 tester/technical writer
- XWiki SAS sells services around the open source software, see http://www.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/Services/
- XWiki SAS truly believes and understands open source, see http://www.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/About/Values
-- I also wrote a blog post on this some time back: http://massol.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/XWikiSASAndOpenSource
- XWiki SAS has promised "not to do evil" ;), see its manifesto at http://www.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/About/Manifesto
- XWiki SAS is paying for the servers and maintenance of xwiki.org,
myxwiki.org, the maven repo, the svn repo, the hudson build serversn
the free JUG farm, and more
Issue at hand
===========
XWiki SAS would like to generate more revenue to be able to increase
the development pace of the XWiki software. We'd like to fund even
more the development of XWiki, so that it becomes an even better
product. We've asked you what you'd like to see in the future in XWiki
and you've answered on this survey result:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/Features+Survey+Results
We'd like to implement those features as fast as possible.
For this we need to ensure that users interested in commercial
services find easily the way to http://xwiki.com, even when they
arrive on xwiki.org.
This is true for XWiki SAS's services but also for any company willing
to offer services around the XWiki open source project. There's no
magic. Developers need to be paid when they work full time on some
project. We need a commercial ecosystem around XWiki for it to
progress as quickly as its competitors (the collaboration market). We
need to allow for commercial companies the ability to generate revenue
from their work on the XWiki open source project. However we also want
to continue ensuring that all the XWiki development is done in open
source, under a LGPL license.
Governance Proposal
=================
1) xwiki.org is controlled by the XWiki committers. This means that
important changes brought to it should be discussed/vote on the list,
using the same practices as for code commits
2) xwiki.org stays open in edit mode to all external contributors (and
XWiki committers continue to monitor it to remove spam, etc)
3) we agree to start with 3 zones where companies can advertise their
commercial offers on top of the XWiki open source product:
-- On the download page (for business packages, subscriptions, hosting)
-- On the support page (for services: support, consulting)
-- (still to be defined) Possibly on a "Products" tab in the new
horizontal navigation. The idea would be to do as jboss.org is doing.
Projects are open source and community and Products are commercial
4) the company offerings are listed by their amount of contributions
to the XWiki open source project. The company that contributes most
(XWiki SAS today) gets the best spots (top of the list, bigger space)
5) Companies who want to be listed should provide some proof of their
contributions to the XWiki open source project
6) XWiki SAS gets some acknowledgment for paying for the xwiki.org
server/maintenance of it. Probably somewhere in the footer of the site
or on side panel somewhere
7) xwiki.org should always remain a site for the xwiki open source
community
Conclusion
=========
We want to stress that this proposal is not about XWiki SAS making a
commercial takeover of the xwiki.org site.
It's about recognizing that if the XWiki open source software
progresses quickly today, it's thanks to contributors but also for a
very large proportion to companies paying developers to work on it,
either directly (like XWiki SAS or other companies that have
developers contributing) or indirectly (by paying for example XWiki
SAS or other companies to work on specific features).
It's also about recognizing that XWiki SAS is happy to see other
companies willing to contribute to the progress of the XWiki open
source project and thus to provide a place for these companies to be
visible too.
I hope that all our contributors but also users of the XWiki Open
Source software will find this proposal acceptable and I welcome any
feedback on it.
Thanks

Hello,
When I use the XMLRPC interface from Python I can store a lot of pages,
attachments and even convert syntaxes.
But how can I find if some
attachment already exists in the wiki to make a link to that attachment
and not upload the same attachment over and over again?

Hey,
I'm trying to implement a vertical dropdown menu on one of my panels using CSS, but the extended popout submenu that appears on the side when the cursor hovers over the link gets cut off by the edge of the panel, so most of my submenu doesn't show up. This happens because the menu and submenu are part of the Panel document (SpaceLinks), so the extended submenu can't appear out of this panel document. Has anyone encountered this problem before and is there a simple solution?
The source code for XWiki has this line of html for one of the already-existing dropdown menus of the Wiki:
<div class="topmenuentry dropdownmenuentry hasIcon" onmouseover="showsubmenu(this);" onmouseout="hidesubmenu(this);" id="tmWiki">
Does the solution have something to do with onmouseover? I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Felix
Hello,
Ive build and deployed the WAR from *platform* module.
When I access the xwiki, the main page displays in the header some velocity
syntax instead of what it should normally output.
See the attachement pls.(I ve modified a little bit the javascript.vm
content - adding some quotes to the first lines and a pretty bad word but
the problem is the same)!
So the problem is in the *htmlheader.vm* file when it includes the j*
avascript.vm* template.
If i've just commented the line 75 in htmlheader.vm, the UI problem
vanished.
So i suspect something in the javascript.vm file is wrong.
Whats the problem?
Also, i think some maven dependencies should also be added in pom.xml for
lucene and calendar plugins, because when i copied the generated WAR in
tomcat, i got 2 ClassNotFoundException.

Given where we come from and our track record, this is very unlikely to happen. I hope you don't have any doubts about this! :)

Yes indeed. Just keep trying! And yes any contribution you can make to the xwiki project is good, be it answering mails, reporting bugs, suggesting ideas, spreading the word in blogs/tweets, etc. It doesn't have to cost much.

Yes "we" (as in XWiki SAS committers) really want to continue having a strong community. One reason is that we view XWiki as a platform and a platform works well when it has a large user base and it becomes some de facto standard.
Thanks for your feedback Pascal!

Hello, we'd like to use the bulletinboard application (http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Applications/BulletinBoardApplication), but we want to allow WYSIWYG editing of a post so links and perhaps photos can be embedded. Right now, the class for each post only has a author, date, and the text is a TextArea. So, I guess I have two questions:
1) Is there a handle for the WYSIWIG editor to be embedded in a page?
2) Can it be used on a TextArea or does it have to be used on a document?
It looks to me like we might have to make every post it's own document to get WYSIWIG, but wanted to check first.
Current code that is displaying the text input box:
<span class="bbsmalltitle"> <a name=postmessage href="#postmessage"> $msg.bb_postmessage </a> </span>
<form method="post" action="$doc.getURL("objectadd")" class="postreply">
<input type="hidden" name="xredirect" value="$doc.getURL()#$lastpostid" />
<input type="hidden" name="classname" value="BBCode.PostClass" />
<input type="hidden" name="BBCode.PostClass_postauthor" value="$context.user" />
<textarea rows="10" cols="65" id="BBCode.PostClass_postcontent" name="BBCode.PostClass_postcontent" /></textarea><br />
<input id="BBCode.PostClass_postbutton" type="submit" value="Post!" />
</form>

Hi,
This code from http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Snippets/Create200DummyUsersSnippet
for(user in users){
fullName = user.get(0) + user.get(1)
udoc = xwiki.getDocument("XWiki."+fullName)
uobj = udoc.getObject("XWiki.XWikiUsers", true)
uobj.set("first_name", user.get(0))
uobj.set("last_name" , user.get(1))
print("* Registering *" + udoc.fullName + "*\n")
udoc.save()
gObj = allGroup.newObject('XWiki.XWikiGroups')
gObj.set('member',udoc.fullName)
}
How to test if membership of group Xwiki.XWikiAllgroup already exists
If I run the script twice I get two records in the group for the same person
I would rather have the same behaviour as with getDocument; if not exists it creates a new one, otherwise a new version?

Hi,
Is there a way to modify the values of the options in the select element
(html) associated with a Static List?
I noticed that the values are the same as the text that is shown on the
list.
I have:
*<select id="SSI-Internal.CreateIssue_0_priority"
name="SSI-Internal.CreateIssue_0_priority" size="1">*
* <option label="Show Stopper" value="Show Stopper">Show Stopper</option>*
* <option label="Must Have" value="Must Have">Must Have</option>*
* <option label="Should Have" value="Should Have">Should Have</option>*
* <option label="Could Have" value="Could Have">Could Have</option>*
* <option label="Not In Roadmap" value="Not In Roadmap">Not In
Roadmap</option>*
*</select>*
I want something like:
*<select id="SSI-Internal.CreateIssue_0_priority"
name="SSI-Internal.CreateIssue_0_priority" size="1">*
* <option value="1">Show Stopper</option>*
* <option value="2">Must Have</option>*
* <option value="3">Should Have</option>*
* <option value="4">Could Have</option>*
* <option value="5">Not In Roadmap</option>*
*</select>*
I am using the following code to modify the values:
*valdoc = xwiki.getDocument("SSI-Internal.CreateIssue")*
*ok = valdoc.updateObjectFromRequest("SSI-Internal.CreateIssue")*
*
valdoc.getxWikiClass().get("priority").getPropertyClass().setValues(“a|b|c”)

Hi.
I think it is well known in the XE user and developer community that the attachment names listed in the attachment table have "_" (underscore) and spaces are stripped. I was wondering if there is a JIRA entry for this bug and when is it expected to be fixed? I am not concerned about spaces being stripped, but stripping the underscores is a major irritant for end users because they prefer to have it as word seperators in their local files and want to keep the same association so that they can modify-upload new versions.
Note that '-' (hyphen) is not stripped, so it reasonable to expect that underscores shouldn't be stripped too.
Thanks,
Milind

Hi there,
I'm wondering if XWiki is offering the possibility of a moderated registration?
Currently, it's working like this:
- a new user is registering himself
- he gets an email for verification purposes
- he follows the link and is registerd
I'd prefer that an registration-request has to ba acknowledged by the
Wiki-Admin - are there any solutions for this scenario?

Hi
I am setting up a wiki for the company i work for using Xwiki
I have imported The Skin Editor to the system, but following the instructions for SkinEditor doesn't seem to make any sense i.e. the pages in the Wiki don't appear to be quite the same as the page for this shows
I am a little inexperienced with Xwiki so I might just be off the mark.
I am using 2.2 the bottom of the page has 2.2.27 it looks like
I am a DBA by day so technical stuff isn't a problem
Any guidance appreciated
Cheers

Hi
I was suddenly kicked out while configuring my myxwiki space
at slussen.myxwiki.org. Of course I tried to log in, but I
got "Invalid credentials".
Trying to check if there were clues at myxwiki.org (without
space name), I found that I had been kicked out from there
too. Login there gave me exactly the same "Invalid credentials".
This happened a few hours ago, I think. Waiting hasn't made
the problem disappear.
I hope this is the right way to bring up problems like this
one. I just got my space, so I'm a very perplexed newbie right
now.
I hope there aren't filters in place that interpret regular
Swedish as terribly bad language that violates some amazingly
severe rule, whose punishment is sudden automatic account
deletion... :-)
Regards
Kafpauzo
Sorry, me again...
I wanted to login with with the default credeitials (Admin/admin),
however, XWiki tells me "Invalid credentials".
I've just imported the default pages, configuration is vanilla
out-of-the-box - any clues anyone?
TIA

Hello
I'd like to create a wiki at myxwiki.org. It will be used for
debating certain strange decisions in local government, and
for collecting and organizing information about the background
to these decisions, and discussing what can be done about them.
Desired subdomain: slussen.myxwiki.org
My username: Kafpauzo
Should I give some more background? At a place in our city
that is now fabulously beautiful they intend to erect horribly
ugly buildings that will block a breathtaking view over lake
and islands. A charming waterfront will be converted into an
ugly mess. We need to explore why they're making such strange
decisions, and try to get them to change them.
This happens in Sweden, so the wiki will be in Swedish. You
can see a half-finished version at http://slussen.wikispaces.com
(prettiest in Firefox >= 3.5). I started to build my wiki there,
but then found that Wikispaces is not ideal for this particular
kind of wiki (although it's great for many other kinds). It looks
like myxwiki is better for this.
Best regards
Kafpauzo
The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki
Enterprise and XWiki Enterprise Manager 2.2.2.
This is a bug fix release for the 2.2 branches.
It fixes mainly two important regressions around documents object
handling and office importer on Internet Explorer 7 so if you are
using 2.2 or 2.2.1 you should really upgrade to 2.2.2.
Improvements:
* XAADMINISTRATION-115 - Left align check boxes in "Registration >
Customize XWiki Registration"
* XAADMINISTRATION-63 - In "Administration" -> "Users" closing the
"Add new user" pop-up causes the page to refresh
* XAADMINISTRATION-67 - In "Administration > User > Add new user"
indicate which fields are mandatory
* XAADMINISTRATION-103 - Make registration page support lightbox so
administrator can use it to add users in admin users sheet.
* Updated translations
Important Bugs fixed:
* XWIKI-4955 - Page with empty content leads to "This template does
not exist" message when viewed in plain mode
* XWIKI-4967 - Impossible to import office (copy/paste) with style using IE7
* XWIKI-4965 - Objects can no longer be retrieved relative to their document
* XWIKI-4931 - Links are badly saved on IE7
* XWIKI-4977 - AJAX behavior broken in IE6 for documents with
non-ASCII characters in the name
* XWIKI-4974 - Adding tags with non-ASCII characters fails in Internet Explorer
* XWIKI-4968 - Deleting a comment appears in the history as being
deleted by the person who made the comment instead of the deleter
* XWIKI-4971 - Header generated ids are wrong in 1.0 syntax
* XWIKI-4966 - Missing translation keys for application configuration.
* XWIKI-4590 - View Statistics increment too fast because of AJAX
features in bottom page tags and ratings
* XWIKI-4925 - When XWiki is initialized via a XMLRPC request, it is
in a wrong state and redirect-to-login URLs will be wrong
* XWIKI-3915 - XWiki.copyWiki does not copy hidden documents
* XWIKI-4954 - XWikiDocument#clone should use set/getParent instead of
set/getParentReference
* XWIKI-4555 - XWikiHibernateStore#countDocuments does not always
return the same number as would be the size of #searchDocuments for
the same query
* XWIKI-4969 - Missing translation value for key
"import_listoferrorsfiles" in new Import UI
* XWIKI-4978 - Previewing a comment for a document with non-ASCII
characters in the name uses a wrong URL
* XAADMINISTRATION-68 - In "Administration > User > Add new user"
notify the user when the passwords he types in don't match
* XAADMINISTRATION-21 - User not created when registration information
isn't correct when creating new user in new Administration UI

Hi,
When importing office documents using the openoffice importer, I get
images as attachments, but the links in the page-source refer to
../output/output_html_xxxx
This makes that the images do not appear inline with the text, the
attachement itself is fine.

Hi there, just a quick question:
When I browse through a space as a non-registered user, I always see
both the pages
- WebHome
- WebPreferences
besides the other pages the owner of the space has created.
Example:
- I've created a space called "Database"
- inside this space I've created a page "MySQL"
I gave everyone View-access to the space "Database"
However, to avoid puzzling some people, I'd like anybody *but* the
Space-owner *not* to see both the pages "WebHome" and
"WebPreferences".
Is there a solution for this request I've missed so far?
TIA

Hm...
Any idea how I can remove orphaned tags?
TIA

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the comments, attachments, history and information tabs from certain pages. Perhaps just by inserting some css or javascript on the pages where I don't want these things to show.
Also, I was hoping to reduce the font size of the "Create New Post" text in the blog (I'm using the toucan skin if that helps). Which file would I look in do to this?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Josh

Is there something that I am missing. I'm assuming that somehow the initial config

Hello folks,
While at the topic of XMLRPC, I was trying to search for properties in
a particular object.
I have a customized property called "UID" to the "XWiki.XWikiUsers"
class. Naturally, each user in the wiki can chose to fill this field.
I have been trying to find the method in the XMLRPC api to search for
all the users who have property=xyz.
I checked that it is possible to search for property values using HQL
in the wiki page. Is there an equivalent method to search through
XMLRPC...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey,
The XWiki site offers a good tutorial on making an FAQ, but the FAQ on the XWiki.org site is a little different. I can't find it in the code snippets. Is it possible to see the velocity script for this FAQ or see how the "search FAQ" was implemented?
Thanks,
Felix
Hi Nithya,
As Jean Vincent pointed out, following would be the modified code:
XWikiObject xobj = new XWikiObject();
//Class Name is XWikiGroups
xobj.setClassName("XWiki.XWikiGroups");
//Host page to which we want to add the user is the Page
which contains the group
//In this case, XWikiAllGroup is the group to which we
want to add the user
//So, we would use XWiki.XWikiAllGroup Page in the wiki
xobj.setPageId("XWiki.XWikiAllGroup");
//Set member property as "XWiki.UserName"
xobj.setProperty("member", "XWiki.nithya");
rpc.storeObject(xobj);
And, for me the password update did work. For some reason, it was not
working in the first attempt. Thanks for your help :)
Hi All,

Any idea.?? I surfed net and this nabble forum but i didnt get the
solution.
Thanks,
Nithya.

Hi Nithya,
As Sergiu rightly said, an XWiki user is just another document/Page with a
XWiki.XWikiUser object associated to it.
Hope the following example helps you in creating users using XMLRPC.
Please note that I have only been able to create a user. "Setting" the
password is something I did not have much luck with.
Probably, the XMLRPC API method to set the "password" property stores the
password in plain text when in fact XWiki expects passwords which are
"hashed".
I hope someone on the mailing list could help by providing the code snippet
to update password using XMLRPC. Once, that is done, we can save this
example at

A user is just like any other document+object. Just do what's usually
done for creating a new document and adding a XWiki.XWikiUsers object.
Don't forget to add the user to the groups you want.

Hi Nithya,
Looks like in your example you are using Apache XMLRPC directly. In
the example that I provided I have used the client side proxy for Java
which is much easier and less verbose than the other method.
Please run this example and let me know if it works out for you...
I am quite interested in finding out if it works...thanks.

I tried to install the calendar application but gets this output:

Hi All,
I am struggling in the user creation part of xwiki through xml rpc.
This is my code snippet to create a new user in xwiki..
String url =

String user = "Admin";

userObj.setEmail("shimy(a)gmail.com");
userObj.setFullname("shimyThomas");
userObj.setName("shimy");
confObj.addUser(userObj, "csscorp");
while running this an application i am getting the following error.. in
this specific line
confObj.addUser(userObj, "csscorp");

Hi,
I am using xwiki 2.1.1 and i am having problem with livetable and a simple
custom class.
Here is my code:
#set($collist = ["Customer", "Responsible", "TargetDate", "Activities",
"priority", "_actions"])
#set($colprops = {
"Customer" : { "type" : "text" , "size" : 20, "link" : "edit"},
"Responsible" : { "type" : "list" , "class": "XWiki.XWikiUsers"},
"TargetDate": { "type" : "date" ,"sortable":"true",
"displayName":"Target Date"},
"Activities" : { "type" : "text" },
"priority": {"type": "number" },
"_actions" : {"actions": ["copy","delete","rename","inline"]}
})
#set($options = { "className":"Task.TasksClass",
"rowCount": 15 })
#livetable("alldocs" $collist $colprops $options)
It displays three documents, but as soon as I click on one of the other
columns to sort the table, it gets empty.
For the allDocumentsSnippet it works.
I have no carriage returns or quotes in the fields that are to be displayed.
I tried with different options and also only two fields (customer and
priority): the same happens.
Is this a known bug or did I misunderstand the livetable macro?
Thanks,
Hans-Peter
Hi everybody,
Is there a way to dynamically (through groovy code) change the values on a
static list or on any other property of a xwiki class?
I am using *field = document.getxWikiClass().get("propertyName")* to get the
property.
document is of type* com.xpn.xwiki.api.Document*.
But when I try to change the value using *
field.getPropertyClass().setValues("val1|val2|val3")* I get a *null* value
from* field.getPropertyClass()*
I am following the information on
http://www.mail-archive.com/users@xwiki.org/msg10692.html
I am using groovy on xwiki 2.0.2.24645

Hi,
With XE 2.2.1, I think I have some issues retrieving expected results from
Lucene search, using "object:" term.
For example, if I want to search for comments containing "test", I would
enter as search term in Main.LuceneSearch:
test AND object:XWiki.XWikiComments
This returns no result in my case.
But then if I use Luke to browse the Lucene index in
$TOMCAT_HOME/work/Catalina/localhost/xwiki/lucene, I can find at least 5
documents for which field "XWiki.XWikiComments.comment" matches with "test".
I believe that Main.LuceneSearch should return exactly the same result, and
not an empty set ?
Another use-case, if my search term is only "object:XWiki.XWikiComments",
page retrieves only 2 results. There are far more comments in my wiki of
course ...
Am I missing something ?
Best regards,
Jeremie
Hi,
We're evaluating XWiki for a project of collaborative portal. Just to
explain the needs in a few points :
- users can create and update pages (sometimes it's good to remind basics
;-)
- a page is structured in fields. Fields are predefined in templates. The
vocabulary for xwiki seems to be classes (templates) and objects (pages)
- a page can be translated.
- a page can be tagged
We started the development of a proof of concept, based on the version
Enterprise 2.2.27100. I was impressed by built-in translated pages and the
way to develop applications. But two blocker points have now to be fixed :
- the search engine does not process page tags. Some threads on the
mailing-list address this question but I can't find a real solution.
- objects can not be translated (see
XWIKI-69<http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-69>).
In my words a page can not be translated if it uses a template. Using
conditions in macros is not a good workaround for end-users. Is there
another way to implement this feature ? Do you have any recommendations ?
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Simon Brandhof

Hi guys,
first off, thanks to VBincent, Anca & Sdumitriu for pointing me to
this list via Twitter
My current environment:
Using CATALINA_BASE: /home/tomcat/www
Using CATALINA_HOME: /home/tomcat/www
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /home/tomcat/www/temp
Using JRE_HOME: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun
Server version: Apache Tomcat/5.5.20
Server built: Sep 12 2006 10:09:20
Server number: 5.5.20.0
OS Name: Linux
OS Version: 2.6.18-4-686
Architecture: i386
JVM Version: 1.6.0_10-b33
JVM Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
I'm running on Debia, but I'm not using a packaged version but a
vanilla Tomcat installation
MySQL:
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.32, for pc-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2
Connection id: 57
Current database:
Current user: root@localhost
SSL: Not in use
Current pager: stdout
Using outfile: ''
Using delimiter: ;
Server version: 5.0.32-Debian_7etch11-log Debian etch distribution
Protocol version: 10

Server characterset: latin1
Db characterset: latin1
Client characterset: latin1
Conn. characterset: latin1
UNIX socket: /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
Uptime: 14 days 21 hours 38 min 38 sec
Now I know what you guys are saying - "you have to set up a
UTF-8-databse", but well, should be enough if the database is set to
use UTF-8 and not the whole MySQL-instance,right?
Therefore:
mysql> show create database xwiki;
+----------+----------------------------------------------------------------+
| Database | Create Database |
+----------+----------------------------------------------------------------+
| xwiki | CREATE DATABASE `xwiki` /*!40100 DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 */ |
+----------+----------------------------------------------------------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)
Now what I did so far:
- I downloaded the latest stand-alone war from the xwiki-website
- I created a new Virtual Host within Tomcat and deployed the war
- I commented out the default HSQL-DB-settings and adapted the
MySQL-settings in hibernate.cfg.xml:
<property name="connection.url">jdbc:mysql://localhost/xwiki?useServerPrepStmts=false&useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8&sessionVariables=sql_mode=''</property>
<property name="connection.username">someUser</property>
<property name="connection.password">somePassword</property>
<property name="connection.driver_class">com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</property>
<property name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect</property>
<property name="connection.provider_class">com.xpn.xwiki.store.DBCPConnectionProvider</property>
<property name="connection.pool_size">2</property>
<property name="statement_cache.size">2</property>
<mapping resource="xwiki.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="feeds.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="activitystream.hbm.xml"/>
- in xwiki.cfg, I left everything at their default values except
xwiki.store.migration=0
- I restartet Tomcat, and then went to
http://myServer/xwiki/bin/import/XWiki/XWikiPreferences
to import the default pages as suggested in the docs.
However, I'm getting a HTTP 500 with the following exception:
Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Data truncation: Out of

/There are a lot more exeption, but the above one should be the root-cause.
My understanding is, that some mapping within Hibernate is wrong, but
I got no idea on how to fix that.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
TIA

PS.: I'm running Tomcat as a demon via jsvc, but I don't think that
this has anything to do with the above error

Hello,
myxwiki.org has been upgraded to XWiki Enterprise 2.3-SNAPSHOT (3/3/2010). We've done this to test the stability of the upcoming XE 2.3 release.
If you own a wiki hosted there you'll notice that the AllDocs page shows an empty list in your wiki. To fix this you need to upgrade your XAR. Go to your administration page on your wiki and follow the instructions in the banner there.
To be notified of the myxwiki.org server upgrade you can follow myxwiki on twitter:

Thanks Guillaume...
Both your reply and Thomas's response takes good care of my question :)

You don't need to create them. Once LDAP is configured correctly in XWiki,
users will be created automatically in the wiki the first time they connect
to the wiki with their LDAP credentials.

Thanks for your prompt response Thomas...now I am relieved.
All I need to do is figure out how to configure LDAP with XWiki.
By the way, in case I have a user let's say - Jane Doe whose username in
Active Directory is Jane.Doe
Would I create a user of the same name called JaneDoe in XWiki or would I
create user called Jane.Doe?
Or am I misreading something here and don't need to create users at all in
XWiki...

XWiki does not accept a dot in the page but LDAP authenticator has a
special handling of username with . so you will not have issue.
In short don't worry about . in ldap user name it's working ;)

Hi,
Why are programming rights needed to view the "Copy" Link? According to the user guide, Programming rights are described as privileges to "use protected APIs & Groovy code in wiki pages". I read the JIRA at http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-374 and it seems that originally, users without PR weren't able to copy pages even though the copy link was showed, so the non-viewable feature was added as a fix.
What I don't understand is how copying action relates to using protected APIs and groovy code at all, or in other words, why the last editor of the page must have programming rights in order for the Copy Action to show up for anyone.
Thanks
Felix
Hi,
I would also like to selectively hide comments for certain users. I have already disabled comments for all users as mentioned in the faq. According to the following link, it is possible to selectively hide comments using a velocity script. Can someone explain how it works, I can't find the Custom Display Attribute anywhere:

Hello,
By browsing on Main.Tags in my 2.2.1 instance, I found that there was a RSS
Feed link for a specific tag, on each tag page.
But practically it seems not implemented, as what was returned was the
global wiki RSS, not restricted to a particular tag.
So I implemented it in Main.WebRss. Here is an extract of Main.WebRSS page
that treats "tag" parameter. As you can see it misses a correct $description
setting, because I don't know where is the translation ...
#if("$!{request.space}" == '' && "$!{request.tag}" == '')
## RSS feed for the whole wiki
#set ($request = 'where 1=1 order by doc.date desc')
#set ($description = $msg.get('xe.rss.feed.description'))
#elseif("$!{request.tag}" != '')
## RSS feed for a single tag
#set ($request = ", BaseObject as obj, DBStringListProperty as tags,
IN(tags.list) tagsvalue where obj.name=doc.fullName and
obj.className='XWiki.TagClass' and tags.id.id=obj.id and tags.id.name='tags'
and tagsvalue='${request.tag}' order by doc.date desc")
#set ($description = "RSS Feed for a specific tag")
#else
## RSS feed for a single space
#set ($request = "where doc.space='${request.space}' order by doc.date
desc")
#set ($description = $msg.get('xe.rss.space.description',
[$request.space]))
#end

Hello folks,
Returning to the xwiki mailing list after a long time with a question
about LDAP authentication.
Our active directory has usernames with a dot (.) character. Would it
be possible to sync our XWiki with the active directory under this
scenario. If I am not mistaken, we would need to create equivalent
users in the XWiki for each user in the active directory.
And, XWiki does not accept a dot in the username field.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.
Hello,
This is for something I'm trying to develop ... And I'm not sure it has
something to do with XWiki, but who knows ?
In a page I call a particular init() function like this :
Event.observe(window, "load", init);
This init() aims at loading some JSON data from another page using Ajax. I
was inspired by the livetable.js here :-)
var json = ""
var ajx=new Ajax.Request( "
http://localhost:8081/xwiki/bin/view/Dev/JSONProvider?xpage=plain&outputSyn…",
{method:"get", onSuccess:function(transport) { json =
eval("("+transport.responseText+")"); }
}
)
This Javascript is in a .js file along with other resources on the server
filesystem. It is loaded with $xwiki.jsfx.use(...) .
When I debug step by step using Firebug, everything is fine, "json" variable
contains what I expect.
But when I'm not debugging and refresh the page, "json" variable is empty
... (breakpointing AFTER ajax call shows it). Though I can see in Firebug
that my Ajax http request finished with a 200 OK code.
Do you think it might be linked to the fact this method is called on page
load ? I can't see how it's different than other ajax calls in xwiki ...
Thanks for any help,
Jeremie
Hello,
I still have issues with livetables ... I'm willing to investigate, but a
little help would be appreciated :)
I'm basically wanting to show 2 fields of a custom class of mine. There are
some hundreds of objects of this kind in my wiki.
So I add the following in a page in 2.0 syntax
{{velocity}}
#set($collist = [ "subject", "startdate"])
#set($colprops = {
"subject" : { "type" : "text" , "link":"view", "size" :
50, "filterable": true, "sortable":true},
"startdate" : { "type" : "text", "filterable":false,
"sortable":true}
})
#set($options = { "className":"My.Class",
"tagCloud":true,
"rowCount": 10 })
#livetable("myclass" $collist $colprops $options)
{{/velocity}}
This results in an empty array displayed ... If I filter by typing 3 to 4
letters of an existing "subject", then SOMETIMES, it displays the related
objects, but not always. Result is identical if I put the velocity part in
1.0 syntax page. Tried to play and remove most of the fields options, still
the same behaviour.
I have retrieved the URL that generates the JSON data from the logs, put it
in my browser, and it generates some JSON with 10 elements, as expected.
There was an exception on date formatting though, so I removed the
"startdate" field from the list, but still the same behaviour.
How could I investigate this issue ? Do you think it might be related to my
installation ? Because all other livetables in the wiki work well, except
some of them that are linked to custom classes (alldocs works pretty well).
Could it be some special characters in "subject" text ? ('/', '[', ... ?)
I'm on xwiki 2.2-RC2, tomcat 6, linux RH4.
Thanks for help,
Jeremie
Hi,
Again with livetables ...
Here I have a livetable showing objects from a custom class. One of the
properties displayed is named "author". While the livetable shows well, and
the "author" properties are valued, the "author" column always remains
empty.
As it contained some "<" ">" characters, I added "html":"true" as a column
option, but still the column remains empty.
I was wondering, is there some mismatch between my "author" column and a
possible "author" property in xwiki ?
Note : I use XWiki 2.0.3, but I will soon test with 2.2.1 as I know there
were some improvements on livetables.
Thanks,
Jeremie
Hello,
I would like to propose we update the User Guide documentation so that it's
more helpful to users that start using XWiki, whether they are programmers
or not. The purpose of the guide is to get users up to speed with the XWiki
basics, to gather these resources in one place.
You can find my proposal for the user guide here:
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Drafts/UserGuide
Please feel free to make suggestions for other pages to be included or
changes you think should be made. Remember this is not a TOC for all the
documentation, but rather a selection of links to help you get started with
XWiki.
Thanks,
Silvia

Hello,
Can't it be a timing problem ? When using Firebug, the system has time to retrieve result from the AJAX request but at execution time it has not ?

Hi,
I have some question about translation.
1. Is the ApplicationResources_zh.properties exported from
l10i.xwiki.org? But I find the resources file in xwiki 2.2.1 release
package is not the same as the resource file I get from
l10i.xwiki.org.
2. I think the (Total translations = Empty translations + Outdated
translations + Translations to review), but in the site I found it is
not equal all the time, for example,
Simplified Chinese (zh),
Total translations: 2425
Empty translations: 477
Outdated translations: 29
Translations to review: 1454
477 + 29 + 1454 = 1960 != 2425. Does this mean the missing 465 items
are Validated? What is the relationship between total empty and
outdate translations.
3. If I want to improve the translation. Do I modify the resource file
and submit a patch or I just edit l10i.xwiki.org.
Thanks.
Wang Ning
Hi,
to translate texts into a more correct german I extracted ApplicationResources_de.properties to WEB_INF/lib.
This seems to work. I am willing to share this with others, however, it would took days when I am using the i10n.xwiki.org facility.
However, some translation I did not found. One of them comes up when trying to login.
In the last line of the dialog the texts are still in english "Forgot your username or password".
This text is NOT part of the property file.
Where is the place to translate this texts?

Hi All,
Long time no see. I'm back:) So glad back to this community. Missing
coding work.
BTW, I have a problem. When I used myxwiki.org to post a blog, I found
the "Set the publication date to:" was "27/02/2010 12:10:58", while
the actual time in my location was "27/02/2010 20:10:58". I think it
must be caused by time-zone. I'm in China, while the myxwiki server
must be in France I guess. Is that a problem and how to sovle it?
Thanks

Hello,
I'm attempting to run the following Groovy script with the Scheduler app:
def eventLog = xwiki.getDocument("CodeTest.TestEventLog")
eventLog.setContent(eventLog.getContent() + "This is a test.")
eventLog.save()
However, this does nothing. I have scheduled the job (which is supposed to run every 5 minutes) and triggered it manually, but it still doesn't do anything.
I also tried surrounding the code with {{groovy}}{{/groovy}}.
My cron expression is the following:
0 0/5 * * * ?
Running on XWiki Enterprise 2.1.1.
Thanks in advance.
-Joshua
Hi,
I am currently testing the "Watch" feature and I can't display the
Watch List. I noticed that the Scheduler has some Watch List jobs,
could it be related ? I mean that the watch list could be populated by
one of the Watch list notifier jobs.
I am missing something ?
The setup is XE 2.2, Tomcat 6.0, PostgreSQL, Windows XP SP3.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I was wondering how the standard authentication handles user
passwords. Especially I would like to know whether those passwords get
sent from the client to the server in plaintext or whether they get
encrypted.
Or in other words is it safe to use a non-encrypted http connection or
should I use to a SSL https connection to prevent password sniffing.
Thanks for your help,

Hi List,
I've got an instance of XWiki installed and working, and I've got XOffice installed as well. When I enter my log in information in the XOffice ribbon I can see the Wiki Explorer, but I cannot save things back to the wiki. What should I check next to be able to "Publish Documents" back to the wiki?
Thanks!

Hi,
I figured out the macro capability. That is real powerful stuff.
However, I failed to pass a list to macros.
Is this a bug or by design?

Hi All,
I am struggling with the implementation of SSO in xwiki. I have few doubts
to ask..
I am using my own SSO which use the OpenSSO and its OpenDS for
authentication.
My application, plugin to many application and the base is jboss portal. I
have successfully implemented the jforum inside jboss portal and implemented
my own custom SSO jforum, as the instructions given in jforum.
But in xwiki i am not seeing any guide lines to implement my own SSO.
Eventhough googling i didnt get the clear idea. I am using pure java and i
cant go for keberos and OpenID concept.
1. Whether i can implement my own SSO in xwiki?? When i login in my
application the same user should login in xwiki and the browser session n
cookie should get maintain for the user session..Is it possible?
2. If so What all are the files i have touch? Where i have to make the
changes for SSO? What is the name of the cookie which is used for sso in
xiwiki now?
3. What all the changes for SSO?
Thanks in advance.

Nithya.

Hello,
I need to find the best way of registering an event listener automatically on wiki startup. Right now I have to manually register the listener in a manner similar to the one illustrated in the Groovy Notification Tutorial (http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/GroovyNotificationTutorial).
Thanks in advance for any help.

Below is the get request made to LiveTableResults when I use a filter of "test & test" on the "council" row in the live table. The spaces get url encoded along with other characters but ampersands do not.

Hi Vincent,
I've just checked and this problem still exists in XE 2.2.
I've managed to fix it on my local XE 2.2 setup by changing line 189 of the resources/js/xwiki/table/livetable.js file from:
for(key in this.filters){if(!existing[key]&&this.filters[key]!=""){filterString+="&"+key+"="+this.filters[key]
to:
for(key in this.filters){if(!existing[key]&&this.filters[key]!=""){filterString+="&"+key+"="+this.filters[key].gsub('&','%26')
This seems to have fixed it for select lists, input boxes etc.

AFAIK this was fixed in XE 2.2
