Hi,
I have an XWiki 7.0.1 instance over here where I want to link to a page on
another Wiki:
Main Wiki
|-- Sub-Wiki "Products"
|-- Space "A Product"
|-- Page "The Page"
I created a new page on "Main Wiki" where I entered the link as follows:
Label>>Products:A Product.The Page
When I save the link shows up as if the target page doesn't exist, clicking
it opens the create screen. I already double checked the wiki/space/page
names in the link but everything is correct.
Can somebody tell me why the link doesn't lead to the existing page?
Regards,
Dennis
ho sorry, I mean Ctrl+G "Jump to any page in the wiki (Meta+G)"

Hi,
pressing
CTRL+R seems to just reload the page ... starting to type
"product" does lots of fuzzy things ending up in
displaying the page source code.
Well now I feel dumb.

Hi,
Use Ctrl+R and type "Product", select your desired
page and copy/paste exact fullname (from popup window) in
your wikilink Your nice page>>exact fullname .
Check if your page is not hidden before.

Hi,
thanks for the answers. I prefixed the link
with "doc:" but the problem
persists. The link to the "not existing
page" is:
http://wiki/xwiki/wiki/products/create/A+Product/The+Page?parent=Doku.Page+…
To verify the correctness of
my link I copied the above to the address bar
of my browser and replaced "/create/"
with "/view/" and voila, the page is
shown. So my link is indeed correct which makes
the problem even stranger
...
Any further ideas? Otherwise
it seems I need to hard-link :-[

modèle de page créé au préalable, après avoir coller une image ou insérer
une image, il arrive que par moment voir systématiquement que la phase

I am looking for advice on how to disable macro editor in CKEditor. We want
to upgrade to 1.7 to fix bugs, but not ready to let users explore all
macros.
It would be nice if we can modify the script in CKEditor.EditSheet to
disable it or hide the available macro list.

Hi,
It depend...
First, what are displayed for $ddlProductFamily (your page in view mode)?
velocity
$ddlProductFamily

Something like ['value1,'value2'] or xwikixxwith random number or $ddlProductFamily ?
If you want display value from any page:
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/APIGuide#HAccessobjectsin…
or if you want display values in your page with your Class object you can use "custom display" when your editing your Class

Hi,
I am currently implementing my first XWiki application and
starting to
learn velocity. There is one thing that makes me mad.
There is a static list field with code "ddlProductFamily".
I try to display the items in this list in a nice way (one
below the other).
Different approaches including googling didn't lead to any
outcome.
#foreach ($prodFam in $ddlProductFamily)
$prodFam\\
#end
#foreach ($prodFam in $doc.display('ddlProductFamily'))
$prodFam\\
#end
On the frontend it's always empty. Other #foreach loops work
fine.
I'm sure I just misunderstand something but I can't find the
fault myself.
Can somebody please help me?
Thanks in advance,
Dennis

Hello everyone,
I have an issue after upgrading several xwikis from 6.2.1 to 7.4.3 I am not able to add new wiki pages in our navigation panel. The old ones are completly working but just the news ones won't add up. I am aware that there was a change between lucene and solr search engine. In additional I am not able to use for news spaces for listening any childpage anymore. I someone able to explain what I may do wrong or even share there navigation config? I hope I was missing something. I have atteched our navigation config beneath and hope one could point out my mistake. Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know of a way to integrate the meeting app and the mocca calendar
app? Or has anyone attempted to do this in the past? The idea is that, when
a meeting is created, the meeting would be automatically included in the
calendars of the participants. The appropriate updates would need to be made
when the meeting is modified, rescheduled or deleted of course.

Hi.

Wath I made wrong?

server) with OpenJDK 1.8.0_91, Tomcat 8.0.35, MariaDB 5.5.47 and the Oracle

All -
I am trying to use the XWiki REST APIs to create a user in our XWiki system,
but I am not able to give them admin rights.
Background:
I have an empty database (mysql) and I am running an XWiki war inside a
tomcat server. The system starts correctly and creates the database with
default data. No issues at this point. Next I want to create an admin user
with the REST APIs.
What I want to accomplish with REST APIs:
1) Create an admin user using REST API.
2) Login to the XWiki with that admin user.
3) import the XAR file (xwiki-enterprise-ui-mainwiki-all-8.1.xar).
4) Change the admin user back to a normal user using the REST API.
5) Add the user to the XWikiAdminGroup and use those group rights going
forward.
6) Login again as an admin user as part of the XWikiAdminGroup group.
7) Any user can edit their own profile (admin or not). Currently it can
only be edited by admin users.
8) User is assigned the home wiki as a default wiki.
I have two issues at this point. One there is no way to run the REST call
except as a superadmin, because there are no admin users created during the
initial data load (I think that I saw that admin users are not created when
running just the xwiki.war). If I add a new user to the system, the user is
created, but I cannot seem to find a way to make them an admin user so that
I can import an xar file to load the extra setup for the XWiki.
I cannot login to the XWiki as a superadmin, because I have enabled CAS SSO.
REST API to create admin group:
curl -v -u superadmin:system -X PUT -H "Content-type: text/plain"
--data-ascii ' '

REST API to create user:

Hi,
I was looking into a way to modify the border-top color of tables in XWiki
(defined in table.less) such that all basic tables have a solid 1px black
top border (instead of the current solid 1px #ddd definition). I've been
having trouble with finding a proper way to apply the style only to basic
tables. Here are a few approaches I have taken:
*Approach 1.* Override the tables.less file in our own tables_overrides.less
and make all tables have a black 1px border.
*Problem:* This selector is too general, and adds a black border to all
tables on the page (History pane, Format guide, etc)
*Approach 2.* Narrow the selector down to #xwikicontent (only the user’s
content). #xwikicontent .table
*Problem:* Now all tables in the xwikicontent div have borders and nowhere
outside; however, other tables (such as those used by live tables) are also
selected, making the LiveTables look wrong.
*Approach 3.* Modify only the source where the border-color is defined
(because table styles simply use @table-border-color variable to define the
default border-top style
*Problem:* XWiki uses tables throughout (i.e. History pane) and these tables
also use @table-border-color, making their border-top black as well.
*Approach 4.* Create a new table class (i.e. class=“bordered”) so that we
can specifically select tables defined by CKEditor and nothing else. Hook
into CKEditor table dialog and set Stylesheet Classes to “bordered” by
default
*Problem:* Users creating tables via source editor will have no context of
adding borders to their table and their tables will not have proper borders
by default
As of now, there does not seem to be any clear cut way of selecting only the
basic tables (because so many other parts of XWiki use that basic table). I
was wondering if anyone has any insight on a possible solution to this

Hi, I would like a wiki for:
*Description*: Document small things I would like to remember, and might
even help out others
*Owner Name*: Tom Groeneveld
*Wiki Name*: Fantasyworld
Kind regards, Tom.
Hello,
Searching through the web I found the following mailing list thread:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.wiki.xwiki.user/28977
Which solves my problem exactly, with one minor caveat: the enterprise
XWiki installation I'm using has Velocity macros disabled for average users.
Therefore, what is the equivalent of Velocity's $doc.documentReference in
XWiki syntax (i.e. node id reference).
Best regards.

Hi,
Sorry in advance. I can't imagine that this hasn't been asked before but as
I couldn't find anything I may have used the wrong key words.
Anyway, my problem is: I have created an app with "App within minutes" on
XWiki 7.4.3 and among others defined boolean fields (checkboxes).
I also added them to the application livetable. The table displays, for
example, "Yes" and "No" but filtering is not possible. If I enter "Yes" in
the filter no rows are returned though documents matching this exist.
So how can I filter for checkbox values in an app livetable?
Regs,
Dennis
I just released a new version of the Contrib parent poms which add
support for automatic close and release on Nexus repository.

I am referring to the gadget "Page tree" which allows to sort the pages by drag and drop. However, he does not preserve the imposed order (on my wiki).
I would like to be able to sort manually, to give the order I want to my pages (as with "Page tree" but with order preserved).
Is it possible or must I do it by creating my summary manually ?

Hello,
In XWiki Enterprise 7.4.2., is it possible to sort girls pages in a tree
macro ?
For example, if I create a page for each chapter of a documentation, and
I want the parent page to contain the list, should I do the summary by
hand ?
Thanks.

Hi xwiki team,
sometimes (i can't reproduce it properly) images that where deleted from
the appendix and in all links of the page, where displayed after saving
the page and also exported to the pdf. The same thing also happens quite
often when i try to exchange an image.
I have found out one way to reproduce it:
1. Create a new page
2. Upload an image called "test.png"
3. Press "save and show"
4. Delete the image in the appendix
5. Edit page
6. Delete the link of deleted image
7. Press "save and show" -> no image will be displayed
8. Edit page again
9. Upload another image that is named as the one before ("test.png") ->
the old image will be displayed
So this might be a cache problem.
Best regards
Alina

How can I fix this problem to get back my page?
Did any one else have users disappear on their wiki on mywiki.org?A number of ours no longer exist. I just discovered this today on scservicesub.mywiki.org. The User Directory is not working either.
Ok, first off, I tried, I really did
I'm trying to map an object called Data.Code.Employee.Class to its own
table. Here's what I have done so far:
In \xwiki\WEB-INF\ i have a file called EmployeeClass.hbm.xml that has the
following content
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE hibernate-mapping PUBLIC
"-//Hibernate/Hibernate Mapping DTD//EN"
"http://www.hibernate.org/dtd/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd">
<hibernate-mapping auto-import="true">
<class name="Data.Code.Employee.Class" table="xwikiemployeeclass">
<id name="id" type="long" unsaved-value="undefined">
<column name="xws_id" not-null="true"/>
<generator class="assigned"/>
</id>
<property name="firstName" type="string" column="xws_firstName"
length="255"/>
<property name="middleName" type="string" column="xws_middlename"
length="255"/>
<property name="lastName" type="string" column="xws_lastname"
length="255"/>
<property name="job" type="integer" column="xws_job"/>
<property name="supervisor" type="integer" column="xws_supervisor"/>
<property name="SSN" type="integer" column="xws_ssn"/>
<property name="DOB" type="timestamp" column="xws_dob"/>
<property name="hired" type="timestamp" column="xws_hired"/>
<property name="address1" type="string" column="xws_address1"
length="255"/>
<property name="address2" type="string" column="xws_address2"
length="255"/>
<property name="city" type="string" column="xws_city" length="255"/>
<property name="state" type="string" column="xws_state"
length="255"/>
<property name="zip" type="string" column="xws_zip" length="255"/>
<property name="phone1" type="string" column="xws_phone1"
length="255"/>
<property name="phone2" type="string" column="xws_phone2"
length="255"/>
</class>
</hibernate-mapping>
Then in the hibernate.cfg.xml file I added a mapping resource to the MySQL
section like this:
<property name="connection.url">jdbc:mysql://localhost/xwiki</property>
<property name="connection.username">xwiki</property>
<property name="connection.password">xwiki</property>
<property
name="connection.driver_class">com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</property>
<property
name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5InnoDBDialect</property>
<property name="dbcp.poolPreparedStatements">true</property>
<property name="dbcp.maxOpenPreparedStatements">20</property>
<mapping resource="xwiki.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="feeds.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="activitystream.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="instance.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="mailsender.hbm.xml"/>
<mapping resource="EmployeeClass.hbm.xml"/>
I also enabled custom mapping by setting
xwiki.store.hibernate.custommapping=1 in xwiki.cfg
I created the xwikiemployeeclass table in MySQL manually and it made no
difference.
So here is what happens: if I add the mapping resource to the hibernate
file, xwiki freezes at about 50% loading. If I remove that line everything
is fine. I'm fresh out of ideas.
HELP!!
Dan
PS.: none of those other xml files mentioned in the MySQL section seem to be
anywhere. Can't find them. Where are they? (like the instance.hbm.xml file
for example)

Hello,
I've run into a problem with uploading files to my XWiki.
I am running XWiki v8.0 on a CentOS 7 server, using a Java 8 64bit JVM and the jetty servlet container.
The database resides on a MS-SQL 2008 R2 server.
The following options are set on my installation:
start_xwiki.sh:
XWIKI_OPTS="-Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=2048m"
MaxPermSize is ignored by Java 8
xwiki.cfg:
xwiki.store.attachment.hint=file
xwiki.store.attachment.versioning.hint=file
xwiki.store.attachment.recyclebin.hint=file
XWiki Preferences:
Maximum Upload Size = 4294967296
If I upload a file via the browser, the actual size of the file is shown correct, but after the upload has finished, the file size is shown incorrectly as -[random_number].
Downloading the same file, results in getting a defective file, truncated at 2Gb in size.
The log reports no errors.
I've tried uploading the same file via the WebDAV extension, which gets me a Java Out-of-Memory-Exception, resulting in a 0 byte file on the server.
Do you have any other ideas on how to get files bigger than 2GB uploaded to the wiki?
Best Regards
Bernhard
Can anyone provide some assistance with correct usage of the XWiki FileUpload HTML5 widget? I have a page ProcessFile that can process an uploaded file, and in another page I have:
velocity
$xwiki.jsfx.use('uicomponents/widgets/upload.js', true)
$xwiki.ssfx.use('uicomponents/widgets/upload.css', true)
html
<form action=" ProcessFile" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" class="fileUploadWidget" name="newfile" />
<input type="hidden" name="form_token" value="$!{services.csrf.getToken()}" />
<button type="submit">Upload</button>
</form>

and in the page objects I have a Javascript Extension object with body:
document.observe('dom:loaded', function(){
$$('input.fileUploadWidget').each(function(item){
new XWiki.FileUploader(item, {
autoUpload: false,
progressAutohide: true
});
});
});
This works pretty well, but at the end of the upload I temporarily get a div appear below the widget containing a fully rendered wiki page. How do I prevent this, or rather how do I configure things so that I can display something more useful?
Thanks,
Bryn
Hi.
Is there a way to delete (e.g. using Velocity) document by it's ID ? One of my documents received bad name (I suppose lack of some input validation in rename form), I tried to fix it in xwikidoc table, and now I cannot access it in any way. I don't need it, but how to remove it safely?
TIA,
Ryszard.
Hello,
I use XWiki Enterprise 7.4.2.
I would like to be able to zoom on my images to view them in their
original size.
How can I do this please ?
Thanks !

Hi,
i create a macro that renders a link by using macro parameters. The link
name should be prefixed with double backslashs.
The macro body looks like that:
velocity
[[~~\~~\ $xcontext.macro.params.name
">>url:file://$xcontext.macro.params.link||rel="__blank"]]

Instead of the expected out of "\\Name of the link" I get "\\$
xcontext.macro.params.name". The parameter is only evaluated correctly if I
insert a space after the last backlash, so the last backlash prevents the
parameter evaluation. How I have to escape the double quots correctly?
Best regards
Peter
Hello all,
A new version of the application workflow was released this morning,
version 1.5.1. It contains only one fix compared to 1.5, issue
http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XAWORKFLOW-16 , which is actually quite
particular (we might want to revert this modification at some point in a
future version, as it's only impacting some upgraded instances).
Enjoy!

I'm trying to use the REST API to retrieve some data but the API seems to be
ignoring the type parameter.
My environment is XWiki 7.4.2, Debian 8, PostgreSQL, Tomcat 8, Openjdk 8
If I try to fetch some data using the browser and the following URL:
http:// ...
/rest/wikis/query?q=select%20obj.first_name,obj.last_name%20from%20Document%20doc,%20doc.object%28XWiki.XWikiUsers%29%20as%20obj&type=xwql
the result is as follows (I'm reproducing here only the first few lines -
there are actually 10 items returned)
<searchResults
template="http://10.1.16.192:8080/wiki/rest?q={solrquery}(&number={number})(&start={s…"><searchResult><link
href="http://10.1.16.192:8080/wiki/rest/wikis/xwiki/spaces/XWiki/pages/DocumentTr…"
rel="http://www.xwiki.org/rel/page"/><type>page</type><id>xwiki:XWiki.DocumentTreeMacros</id><pageFullName>XWiki.DocumentTreeMacros</pageFullName><wiki>xwiki</wiki><space>XWiki</space><pageName>DocumentTreeMacros</pageName><modified>2016-02-15T12:14:34-03:00</modified><author>xwiki:XWiki.Admin</author><version>4.1</version><score>0.75986093</score></searchResult><searchResult><link

The result is not related in any way to the user data or their names. From
the template on the first line, it seems to think that the query is a SOLR
query not xwql. I've verified that the query is correct xwql syntax and
gives a valid result by trying it in a velocity script on an actual xwiki
page. The result is basically the same if I just query for the first name
instead of both the first name and last name.
How should I be executing xwql queries using the REST API?

Hi everyone,
FYI I’ve released version 8.2.1 of the JIRA Macro (http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/JIRA+Macro) and the JIRA Scripting API (http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/JIRA+Module).
The main new feature is the ability to access authenticated JIRA servers and to manage JIRA servers configuration from the Admin UI, see http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/JIRA+Administration/
Before you had to specify a URL when using the JIRA macro, such as . You should now prefer using the parameter and define “someid” in the Admin UI. This allows to manage centrally JIRA instance configuration. Note that the URL parameter is still supported though.
In addition, these extensions were located in xwiki-rendering and xwiki-platform. They’re now under xwiki-contrib which means they’re now no longer linked to releases of XWiki; they now have their own release lifecycle, which will have 2 consequences:
- it’ll be easier to release new versions more quickly
- any committer on xwiki-contrib can improve them
Enjoy!
Thanks
-Vincent

Hello,
Just to share, got the same problem after upgrading two from my xwiki from 7.x to 8..1
Since 24/05/2016 with xwiki 8.1 java runtime Java is 8 (before 7).
To solve it fast :
vi /etc/apt/sources.list
Just add :
deb http:~/~/ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ <http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/> jessie-backports main
Then
sudo apt-get update
apt-get install openjdk-8-jre-headless
apt-get install openjdk-8-jdk
Then if Java7 was installed previously, change main 'java’ and 'javac’ command to point to Java8
sudo /usr/sbin/update-java-alternatives -s java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64
Then everything works fine for me.

Hello,
With livetable on top of column we can use select list to choose one value to filter our table.
I use 'resultPage' option to use a custom query and I try to add a multiselect list to filter data with OR condition.
On top of column I wanted a multiselect list like this one:
http://davidstutz.github.io/bootstrap-multiselect/#further-examples
but I have difficult to make it work (probably because prototype vs jquery).
I can add some option in my list (I modify ./skins/flamingo/macros.vm) but I didn't manage to display my multiselect list.
Do you have a js recommanded framework to use a multiselect list? It seem bootstrap don't have this kind of list.
Thxs.

Hello:
I was wondering if anyone else has done this. My application is starting to
need a whole bunch of javascript, and I was thinking of setting up a
separate space (maybe call it js) where there is nothing but pages with
javascript objects attached. That way I could set up a ClassSheet for that
space, whith an embedded javascript editor (ace editor) to make editing the
javascript easier.

etc) of my website (www.wikinote.org) into marathi.
i am doing this as: XWiki.Translations > Bundle in admin >>> etc. it works.
Problem:
it also translates the page content into marathi which is not always
intended. e.g. login word at two places- 1] xwiki drawer; 2] page content
i want only translating login in drawer and not in page content. how to do
the same?

Hi,
I'm trying to import some packages into the Python macro on Xwiki 7.2, and while standard packages import fine (working with os and re, etc.), some (like xlrd) don't.
Looking through the scripting guide and macro documentation I could not figure out how the Python macro actually works.
Is it just a collection of bindings and translates the python script into groovy or something else, or is it calling the local Python installation? This might sound stupid, but I thought the latter was the case and this would limit the available packages (the ones I want to load are installed locally).
Thank you
Sebastian
Trying to get this macro to work: http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Twitter+Macro
I seem to be missing something with it. What I really want to do is simply display a Twitter feed on a page.
Any help is appreciated!

Hello all,
I just start to make an upgrade from my Xwiki 7.1.2 release to the last
debian version.
I am running a Debian server, a Postgresql database and Tomcat 7.
I ran apt commands without problem.
But in the run of Tomcat I got a bunch of errors in catalina.out and the
url show an error page.

Hi,
As promised, I`m sharing with you the addition of a new article on xwiki.org's
blog:
"Use the Apache HTTP library to interact with the XWiki RESTful API"
by Mohamed Boussaa
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Blog/Use+the+Apache+HTTP+library+to+int…
As the title suggests, the article exemplifies how you can use XWiki`s REST
API from Java or Groovy using Apache's HttpComponents library. There have
been some recurring questions over the time on how to do that, so if you
still have doubts, have a look and hopefully Mohamed will also be available
to answer some of your questions.
If you have something XWiki-related that you would like to share on
xwiki.org's blog, please see my previous mail on how you can easily do that:

Thanks,

Hello
A new version of the Nested Pages Migrator Application extension is
available. See
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Nested+Pages+Migrator+…
<http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Tour+Application#Hv1.0>
You can install or upgrade with the Extension Manager.
The application is still a beta version that you should use carefully.
XWiki crashes might occur during the migration. But this version brings the
ability to detect bad documents created because of these crashes so you are
able to finish the migration by restarting XWiki (several times if needed).
It is still not a friendly process, but at least it is possible and I know
it will help some peoples.
It also brings an icon in the applications panel :)
Enjoy!

Hello Vincent,
Yes I think some explanations was helpful
I saw all problems encountered by Mohamed, so I planned to migrate to
release 7.4, I follow the links :
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Download/DownloadVersion/?projectVersio….
But this procedure for Debian put the Xwiki release 8.
And now I have some problems to make running the Wiki, may be the Debian
documentation and installation notes/configuration should be modified.

Hi.
In application created by AppWithinMinutes there is a non-functionality of filter on boolean-type columns. Values in such a column are shown as 'Yes/No' (with possible translations), but it is not possible to filter them by 'Yes/No' - one has to use '0' or '1'. It is very non-intuitive.
Is there a known issue regarding this?
TIA,

I have a bunch of documents in a space called Procedures. This is an App
Within Minutes space, so the documents are viewed through a ClassSheet. I
wanted to change the color of links within that space alone, so the first
thing I tried was to attach an object to the ClassSheet of type
StyleSheetExtension, and in it I put:
.wikilink {
color: blue;
}
But that didn't change the color. So then I tried putting it directly in the
ClassSheet body, like this:

But THAT didn't change the color either. I looked at the page source, and
you can clearly see the style embedded in the page, and the link identified
as class='wikilink'. So then I said "screw it, i'll just change link colors
on the entire wiki". Guess what?
I went to the "administer wiki", "look and feel" (flamingo btw),
"presentation", "color theme"(garden btw), "customize", changed the
@link-color value, you can CLEARLY see in the preview that all links are the
new color, and yet NOTHING HAPPENS!! the colors of my entire wiki remain the
same, even though if you go back and double check the color customization
the new color is still there, and the preview still looks like I want it too
look.
Sometimes XWiki is just too convoluted.
What am I doing wrong?!

Hi,
I noticed the anoucement of the new SVG rasterzing API in the XWiki 8.0
version.
Is it already available, or not? I have tried to use it in the velocity
macro, using the example usage at
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/SVG+Rasterizing+API,
but it seems that $services.svg is not available. Do I need to enable it or
it is an optional component that I need to install from somewhere.
Thank you
Miroslav Galajda
My requirement:
H1: 30px
H2: 28px
H3: 26px
H4: 24px
H5: 22px
H6: 20px
I tried changing the values in Administer wiki > Presentation > Color theme
Customize > Less code as follows
// XWiki already overrides these variables
@font-size-base: 18px;
@font-size-large: ceil((@font-size-base * 1.25)); // ~18px
@font-size-small: ceil((@font-size-base * 0.85)); // ~12px
@font-size-h1: 30px;
@font-size-h2: 28px;
@font-size-h3: 26px;
@font-size-h4: 24px;
@font-size-h5: 22px;
@font-size-h6: 20px;
Now it correctly shows font-sizes 20px to 30px. But it automatically sets
different font-size values for 22px, 26px sizes incorrectly.
Also what does "// XWiki already overrides these variables " mean? Is this
the culprit for the problem?

Hi,
I've experimented with Jelastic. To my pleasant surprise in their marketplace there is XWiki.
It promises a click and run setup; that could help making XWiki popular.
But the experience was very disappointing. I think this will actually damage popularity.
What I noticed:
* Jelastic marketplace XWiki is based on a Milestone Relase instead of a stable release.
* It is deployed on a tomcat instance; but the settings are such that you get the Upgrade wizard quite conveniently (+++) but then clicking "install" results in a very slow (-----) process that, in my case, never succeeded in a up-and-running XWiki
* The Tomcat log shows memory problems, and this is confirmed to the user with Elastic emails that Tomcat is reaching limits
Would it not be useful if somebody from the community would configure a much better XWiki experience? My knowledge is not good enough to do the Administrator stuff required

Filesize limits for fileUpload plugin" envoyé le 23/05/2016 05:16:36.
C'est la seule notification que vous recevrez pendant l'absence de cette
personne.
Hi,
I have a Groovy script in my XWiki 7.1.1 site that reads files sent to it. I've been using the fileUpload plugin as shown below.
groovy
import java.io.InputStream;
import java.io.OutputStream;
import org.apache.commons.io.IOUtils;
import org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileItem
// Function to actually read the file data from file.getInputStream();
def processFile(String filename, FileItem file, String title) { ... }
def params = request.getParameterNames().toList()
def fileUpload = xwiki.fileupload
def results = [:]
if (!(params.contains("title"))) {
results.put('error',"No title specified")
} else {
fileUpload.loadFileList(2147483648L, 100000, (String) (xcontext.getContext().getWiki().Param("xwiki.upload.tempdir")))
FileItem fileItem = fileUpload.getFileItems().find {it.getFieldName().equals("newfile")}
if (fileItem == null) {
results.put('error',"Couldn't load file - did you forget to choose one?")
} else {
results = processFile(fileUpload.getFileName("newfile"), fileItem, request.getParameter('title'))
}
}
// Handle display of results based on how script was called
def jsontool = new org.xwiki.velocity.tools.JSONTool()
if (request.getParameter('outputSyntax') == 'plain' || request.getParameter('xpage') == 'plain') {
response.setContentType('application/json')
if (results.error) {
response.setStatus(400)
}
print jsontool.serialize(results)
} else {
if(results.error) {
println "error${results.error}"
} else {
println "successFile processed"
}
println "Return to Original page>>${request.getHeader('referer')}";
}

Files are sent to this page via a form:
<form action="FileProcessor" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="newfile" />
<input type="hidden" name="title" value="foo" />
<button type="submit">Upload</button>
</form>
The files I need to read can sometimes be large (~1GB), which is why the call to fileUpload.loadFileList explicitly gives a large maximum file size (10GB, although I don't expect files to reach this size for the time being). However, this limit seems to get ignored: when files exceed the limit specified in the Maximum Upload Size setting on xwiki/bin/edit/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?editor=object the script fails at the step (!(params.contains("title"))) { ...
This is despite the title definitely being set. My guess is the an exception gets thrown by the File Upload plugin that causes the parameters to fail being processed - when I increase the upload limit from 32MB to 50MB the problem goes away for a 47MB file, for instance.
So problem 1: is there a way to get fileUpload.loadFileList to respect the file limit I specify? I don't want to allow very large files to be included in attachments, so it would be nice if I can leave the default setting lower.
Then comes problem 2: Even if I do set the maximum size to something very large, I get a similar problem for files over about 500Mb. I've tried testing just uploading such files as attachments and I end up with a page saying "waiting for server confirmation", and then "an error occurred while uploading the file". Digging around in the Tomcat logs I see exceptions containing:
Caused by: org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase$IOFileUploadException: Processing of multipart/form-data request failed. No space left on device
at org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase.parseRequest(FileUploadBase.java:351) ~[commons-fileupload-1.3.1.jar:1.3.1]

at org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase.parseRequest(FileUploadBase.java:347) ~[commons-fileupload-1.3.1.jar:1.3.1]
... 48 common frames omitted
Looking at this I see that there is probably an earlier call to loadFileList with default values, which is probably why my first problem was occurring. I can't see where this is being called - probably the crucial info is in one of those 48 omitted frames. My guess is that it's in com.xpn.xwiki.web.Utils.handleMultipart
Also, looking in https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/blob/7392653655d1a8524c67851393b0ac… it appears that all files in a request are processed using org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase.parseRequest() which writes all files to file, which I'm guessing is the ultimate problem once files get too big to store in temporary storage. Is there any way that I can use the streaming API http://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-fileupload/streaming.html instead?
Thanks,
Bryn

In our Xwiki, I've added some fields such as birthday (of type Date) to the
user profile. I'd like to implement a REST call that retrieves all of the
non-hidden users with birthdays in a specific month (typically the current
month) and some specific attribute values. Right now the values I want are
the first name, last name, birthday and the link to the avatar image file. I
have bits and pieces of the solution but am having trouble with some parts -
specifically how to put it together into a single REST call.
PROBLEM 1: I can create a page with a script like the following to filter
some users and display their names.
velocity
#set ($tags=$services.query.xwql("select obj.first_name from Document doc,
doc.object(XWiki.XWikiUsers) as obj where (obj.first_name LIKE '%a%' and
(doc.hidden <> true OR doc.hidden is null))").execute())
$tags

But if I try to execute that query in a REST call like the following, the
result is different
.../rest/wikis/query?q=select+obj.first_name+from+Document+doc%2C+doc.object%28XWiki.XWikiUsers%29+as+obj+where+%28obj.first_name+LIKE+%27%25a%25%27+and+%28doc.hidden+%3C%3E+true+OR+doc.hidden+is+null%29%29&type=xwql
The REST call returns some data completely unrelated to the users:
<searchResults
template="http://...rest?q={solrquery}(&number={number})(&start={start})(&orderField={fieldname}(&order={asc|desc}))(&distinct=1)(&prettyNames={false|true})(&wikis={wikis})(&className={classname})"><searchResult><link

PROBLEM 2: If I try to implement a query that retrieves multiple fields from
the user profile like the following:
velocity
#set ($tags=$services.query.xwql("select obj.first_name, obj.last_name,
obj.birthday from Document doc, doc.object(XWiki.XWikiUsers) as obj where
(obj.first_name LIKE '%a%' and (doc.hidden <> true OR doc.hidden is
null))").execute())
$tags

the data displayed in the xwiki page looks like the following instead the
actual attribute values:

I'm using the REST API to get the wiki users as per the example in
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/XWikiRESTfulAPI
i.e.
http://<server>/xwiki/rest/wikis/query?q=object:XWiki.XWikiUsers
This only returns 10 of the users in the wiki database. If I make the call
using curl, it returns 10 non-hidden users. If I make the call from a
browser, it returns almost the same set of 10 users except that 2 of them
are replaced with hidden users.
I can get around this by adding the start and number parameters to the query
and then repeating the call incrementing the start parameter until nothing
is returned.
This leads to a number of questions.
1. Is there a way to adjust the default limit of 10 results other than using
the number parameter?
2. Is there a way to get the count of the total number of users using the
REST API?
3. Is there an explanation for the different behaviour between curl and the
browser? Which behaviour should I expect if making the call from another
application (eg. Rails)?
4. Is there a more elegant way to get all of the users through the API?
5. Is this documented somewhere that I've missed or would it be useful to
add a comment to the RESTful API page?
6. Niggly point regarding the REST API page. In some places, the start
parameter is labeled as 'n' and in others as 'offset'. I assume this is
perhaps an artefact of updates by different authors. Should it really be
'offset' everywhere or is the distinction intentional?
Regards

I have been looking everywhere for an article or an addon for this function. Has anyone managed to find a way to add a simple button or menu options to email the page via Outlook? My users really want to have the articles they are sending out in their own mailboxes as a sent item.
Please remove me from your email list. I have tried to do this through the unsubscribe link and it's been unsuccessful. Thank you for your help. Dld07sierra(a)gmail.com

1. The "tags" feature display a lot of jumbled text.
For example:
"运营" displays as "è¿è¥", if I click "è¿è¥", it becomes "è¿ÂèÂÂ¥", much worse.
2. The "Solr Search" feature display a log of jumbled text.
For example:
"表格" displays as "表格" in the search result page.
And of couse, it returns no hitted page, but it is actually appeared in the default "Sandbox" chinese page.
For example:
3. The Chinese Sandbox, incorrectly use ">" instead of ">" in wiki source text.
For example:
沙箱测试页面1>>Sandbox.TestPage1
Should be:
沙箱测试页面1>>Sandbox.TestPage1
For example, I have a page called “基础品质及小垂直团队”
The URL is ‘http://mysite/xwiki/bin/view/web_product/基础品质及小垂直团队/’
In the “Rename” Action, I can see both “Title” and “Page Name” is “基础品质及小垂直团队”
But, In the “Administrator Page”, its location shows: “EVA小组(评估、分析、垂直等)/ Preferences”,
and title is “Administration: web_product.基础品质及小垂直团队”
and URL is “…/xwiki/bin/admin/web_product/基础品质及小垂直团队/WebPreferences”
“EVA小组(评估、分析、垂直等)” is the old name of this page, I donot know why it is still here.
Version: XWiki-7.4.3, Mac Safari 9.1.1, Firefox 38.7.1esr
A encoding bug of page administration page.
When I do administrator a Chinese title page, click any label twice, the page would jump to a invalid page.
For example:
At beginning:
You can see: there is no left panel.
First Click at “Rights: Page”
It seems OK, and left panel appears:
Second Click at “Rights: Page”
It jumps to a invalid page with invalid title.
Per the Query Module documentation:
List of child spaces: select space.name from XWikiSpace as space where space.parent = 'Parent Space’
List of all nested documents in a space: where doc.space like 'Space' or doc.space like 'Space.%’
The first gives me the correct spaces but I want the documents (WebHome) and the second gives me every single document in every space below ‘Space’. How do you query for just the documents in the immediate child spaces? Anything I do to narrow the results seems to give me no results and no error. Thanks for any help.

Jesse
Hi all,
could someone please help me to find a way to script the creation of new
wiki pages from data/text saved in html files?
I’m trying to (semi)automatically organize and upload data to new wiki
pages, i.e. analyze and plot data with an external program, sve the
information (including page name, etc.) in a html file, and then have some
sort of script take the html file – or objects from it – and create a wiki
page. It doesn’t have to be fully automatic and include a scheduled service
or similar, a script that I can run every day would be fine.
I did look for hints but I guess I’m too much of a beginner to piece
everything together. I found
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Create+Page+With+Object
which tells me that I can script a page creation.
Now my naïve question is: Where do I script this? I am not familiar with
Velocity (Python is my only scripting language), but willing to learn. From
what I could see in tutorials like
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/XWikiVelocityTraining I
put the velocity text in a wiki page (as opposed to run it in a terminal or
via some application outside of the wiki pages?
Does that mean I create a ‘control’ page with a script that’ll grab data and
creates new pages? I f so, it would be great if someone can point me to an
example.
Thank you
Sebastian

I am currently trying to Filter my userlist
#set($users = $xwiki.rightsmanager.usersApi.allUsers)
#foreach($user in $users)
#if(($xwiki.getUser($user).isUserInGroup("XWiki.GroupName"))&& $xwiki.getUser($user).position !="StringExample")

It should show me all users except of those with String I defined in if within position section.
sadly the second part of IF is being ignored. Users with String are still shown.
Thanks =)

I found a nice way to translate $language into pretty language name in the translation desired.
velocity
#displayLanguagePrettyName("it")
#macro(displayLanguagePrettyName $language)#set($languageLocale = $services.localization.toLocale("it"))$stringtool.capitalize($languageLocale.getDisplayName("nl"))#end

So changing the 'nl' to 'pt' (portugese) it will do
Italiaans (dutch) -> Italiano (portugese)
Ca the same be done for country?
Italië (dutch) -> Itália (Portuguse)

Hello XWiki users and devs,
The current xwiki.org blog [1] contains mostly release notes announcements,
Bug Fixing Days results and some occasional events that XWiki has taken
part of.
We would like to pump some life into it by encouraging community members to
post articles and news related to the XWiki ecosystem so that everybody can
have a better view of what`s going on.
It can be anything XWiki-related:
* a tutorial / how-to,
* a feature presentation,
* an event where XWiki was presented,
* an extension that you have worked on and published on extensions.xwiki.org
,
* tips and tricks on how to boost productivity with XWIki,
* a real-life problem that was fixed with XWiki,
* news about some public/government agency or even high-profile private
company adopting XWiki,
* etc.
Also, you don`t necessarily have to be a technical person to show your love
for XWiki :)
Anyone interested would have to do it as an individual, member of the
community, using their xwiki.org account. We do not care what company you
are from, as long as your article has content that is interesting/valuable
for the XWiki community.
You should obviously avoid writing SPAM articles, promoting irrelevant
products and generally off-topic stuff.
Here is how to do it in a few easy steps:
1. Log in with your xwiki.org account and go to the Blog Drafts [2] section
2. Create a new sub-page there (use the + button) and write your article.
Don`t forget to save!
3. Contact an XWiki committer either by mail (users or devs list) or by IRC
[3], give them the link to your draft and ask them for a review it.
4. If the review is successful, the article gets moved to the main Blog [1]
and published.
You could view it as a sort of "Pull Request", but for blog articles :)
Note: We also accept cross-posting! You can also share an article on XWiki
that you have written on some other blogging platform. You can post it
entirely or just do a quick summary about it and link to its original
location.
We hope to see some interesting articles and to increase visibility on what
people are achieving with XWiki!
Thanks,
Eduard

Hello:
I have an app within minutes that is a collection of procedures. I want the
procedures to display differently than the rest of the wiki, specifically I
want to override the title of the pages. So each page is named with a number
like "QP-001"; there is also a field in the class called "title", which is
the actual title of the procedure. By keeping the page name separate from
the title, I can allow the user to change the title without changing the
procedure number (which once created should never change). So What I want to
do is combine the page name and title into one and display it as the page
name, like "QP-001 Procedure of all things".
How do I override the skin for any page that is displayed with the Class
Sheet? is there a worked out example somewhere? I've been reading the wiki
pages on overriding the skin, but I'm not sure how to apply it to my need.

Using the 'rename' feature, I moved a page from one location from under Home
to under a different page. However, I learned about the tagging feature
after that and thought it would be better to use that. So, I wanted to move
the page back to under Home, but I get the error "Error: A page with the
given name (name of my page.WebHome) already exists. Please provide a
different name". When I try to visit the page under Home, I'm redirected to
the Home page rather than shown a screen for creating a new page (what
usually happens when I try to visit a page that shouldn't exist). How do I
move the page back to under Home?

I think I've made a mistake on my wiki. Since I don't have much content yet, I'd like to delete my wiki and start a new one. However, there are some pages that seem to not exist, yet exist in the sense that they don't show up on any list, but redirect me to the home page when I access them rather than present me with a screen for making a new page, so I can't make new pages under their name. What would be the easiest way to restore my wiki to the state it was in when I first installed XWiki?
Hi
I'm struggling to understand the relationship between the code generated by App-With-Minutes for the Sheet and the Generated translation files; Especially if I want to rename application, page, class) (or copy it to another wiki)
#set ($discard = $services.localization.use('document', 'WaihonaCode.qbgTranslations'))
(% class="xform" %)
(((
; <label for="WaihonaCode.qbgClass_0_date1">$escapetool.xml($doc.displayPrettyName('date1', false, false))</label>
: $doc.display('date1')
...
)))
The space WaihonaCode is where class, sheet and template are located
'date1' is the class attribute we need a translated text
This is what is generated in the translation file:
# Class fields
WaihonaCode.qbgClass_date1=Date
Since we do not see any $services.localization.render("date1") i'm uncertain how the key is created? (what logic is applied?)
Why is there: $escapetool.xml($doc.displayPrettyName('date1', false, false))?
Why escape tool?
what is the function of the method displayPrettyName('date1', false, false))?
Is there any client side functionality (JavaScript) required for this to work?

Hello:
I created an app with App Within Minutes, but I have customized the View and
Edit Class Sheets. Now I have separate View and Class sheets. I wanted a
third Class Sheet only used for printing, because the TOC makes no sense
while printing. I tried creating a third Class Sheet, bound it to the Class,
and then set its SheetDescrptorClass Action to "print" thinking that that
would work. It doesn't. Can this be done?

I am shopping around for a Wiki and I believe XWiki is the one.
Before I commit I have a few questions:
What programing language is used (can I use C#)?
Does it run on IIS?
Does it require a database or can it be a file system?
Thanks for your time.
Best regards,
Dave D.
hello:
When you add a page in App Within Minutes, it prompts you for a page name. I
want to create this name automatically, how can I override this behavior so
that it goes straight to the class sheet for edit without asking for page
name?
