We are seeing a vexing problem with our 0.9.840 xwiki: When logging in, if authentication succeeds, the user gets requested page, but $context.user is not set - no Hello brian at top, just "Log-in" and "Register" links. If it fails, normal behavior is seen, returning to login page. We have tossed our cookies, cleared the browser cache, and called XWiki.flushCache() without effect. Happens with Firefox but not IE.
