Yes. Good point. But I am well set up with mySql both for production and 
development which is why I started there. However, I could easily 
backtrack and use HSQLDB if you think it would improve my learning curve?

OK. That was not clear to me.

So really the documentation should simply state somewhere.

For upgrading - download xwiki.WAR +  panels XAR
First Time users - download xwiki.WAR + xwiki.XAR
