Quick feedback : -1 for 1)
It would be good to see a comparison between 2) and 3) with the same
items displayed on both.
2) seems to be better at displaying a lot of items + the common text
features are always one click away,
I like the modern layout of 3) but I think a lot of users would feel
more comfortable with the classic 2) layout.
