I assume you mean updating trunk to use what's currently on the branch.

I'm +1 too but provided you start the release notes document for XE  
1.4 on xwiki.org and you include a special section explaining the  
differences and possibly give some hints for a user to migrate to this  
new version since it's probably breaking compatibility. No need to  
write a lot, a few lines will be enough.
