Andrew, would you have a simple example that I could use to reproduce the problem?

I've tried copy/pasting the http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/ page in my local wiki but it works fine there (1.1RC2 snapshot). It does fail on xwiki.org which is now 1.1RC1.
