1) We don't have a SVN backend yet but some XWiki fans started to  
develop one but we've not heard from them. Thus right now there's  
nobody developing such a back end although I'd love to see one.

2) The XPertNet company (the company who created XWiki) is currently  
developing a Wiki offline feature for a research project and there's  
a Google Summer of Code student also working on this topic during the  
summer (http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/ 
XWikiOffline)
