Problem Since 2.4, the application home page (ReleaseNotes.WebHome, which includes ReleaseNotes.Data.WebHome) displays a right-aligned "Configure the Release Notes Application" link to every user having admin right on the wiki. That link is both redundant and intrusive:
- The application already registers its own Administration section (Administration > Other > Release Notes), which is the standard and expected place for administration options.
- Users already know that administration options live in the Administration UI, so advertising it from the application's own content is unnecessary.
- It puts administration noise at the top of a page whose purpose is to list release notes and release changes.
Expected No configuration link in the application content (home page or anywhere else). The configuration remains reachable from the Administration UI only. |
