If _notifications.emails.enabled = false_ is set in xwiki.properties it causes a velocity script error in Administer wiki > Social > Notifications.
It seems there is suppose to be warning/message that the notifications emails are disabled.

The same error is also present for _notifications.watchedEntities.enabled = false,_ and it is displayed Administer wiki > Social > Notifications under the Watched pages category.
