Environment: Windows 11 Pro, Edge 134, using an instance of XWiki 16.10.4 on MariaDB 11.4, Tomcat 9.0.100, reproducible also on Jetty/HSQLDB

Description:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have an instance of an older version of XWiki (e.g. 14.10.21) with a subwiki created
  2. Upgrade the instance to XWiki 16.8.0 or 16.10.4 by following the Distribution Wizard
  3. Upgrade the suwbiki as well by letting default options selected (in order for Message Stream to be uninstalled)
  4. After the upgrade, go to subwiki > Administer Wiki > Social
  5. Observe the entries displayed

Expected results

No entry related to Message Stream application is displayed, since it was uninstalled while upgrading.

Actual results

The Message Stream entry is still displayed in Administration Menu, although it's uninstalled (see attached screenshots).

However, on Main Wiki, the entry is not displayed (as expected).
