Can't reproduce on 15.10.7: I just marked the Home page as hidden and it automatically disappeared from the navigation, even so the translations are not marked as hidden, I checked that by turning the wiki to multilingual and then trying to edit a translation with wiki editor. So I guess the logic of the navigation panel has changed to take that into account.
