So it would look something like Change Request (1/4)? This looks intuitive to me.  (1/4) means 1 open CR out of 4, right? But "open" CRs mean the ones that are "ready for review", "ready for publication" and maybe even  "draft"? (Basically everything that is not "closed"/"closed (stale)", no?

Yes, and closed also includes merged PR.
