It's not fully exact. By default inline links are underlined.
This is the default but you can control it, if you're writing content where you don't want to see some links underlined.
An even worst example is when the user separates the text with spaces, instead of new line.
It's not an even worse example... it just means that you've put spaces in your link label. It would be very bad to not show the spaces since users would think it's 2 different links when it's the same one. This is just an example of someone trying to use text to simulate some layout, but it's not the right way to do that for sure (if you resize your screen the layout won't hold).
I'm going to close this issue as won't fix based on what the title asks, since it was already voted to highlight inline links by default (see https://forum.xwiki.org/t/underline-inline-links/13313) and we don't take new decisions inside jira issues. If you want to propose a new way, please send a forum vote (but you'll need to provide good arguments to explain why XWiki shouldn't be accessible by default).

[~Lucas C] I've checked and couldn't find the explanation on how to disable underlining links with {{.force-no-underline}} at https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/documentation/xs/user/user/profile/edit-profile/edit-profile-preferences/profile-preferences/ (IMO we need a FAQ entry + a link to a dev section for the user profile).
