Summary: Display a banner if there's a change request for a page
Issue Type: cid:jira-generated-image-avatar-82fafa48-6cbc-499b-9a93-83761c3ca1e0 Improvement
Affects Versions: 1.20
Assignee: Unassigned
Created: 12/Nov/25 17:28
Priority: cid:jira-generated-image-static-major-1fbc5c02-182d-4db5-8617-b43b81f3e320 Major
Reporter: Vincent Massol
Description:

Right now it's easy to miss that there's a CR for a page and to start editing it, or worse, to rename it. A banner at the top of the page would help notice it.

The doc app does something similar, see step 4 of https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Doc/extensions/user/documentation/create-documentation-page/

Note that ideally we would also have some warning in the rename UI if we rename a page wit a CR since that will break the CR (the CR won't know that the page has been renamed). A better option is ofc to have the CR app notice that the page has been renamed by listening to rename events and update the CRs accordingly.

Note that not all uses should see that banner IMO as it's painful when you're just a reader.

So maybe see that banner only when editing or renaming or deleting, etc?

Yes I was more thinking about that.
