Summary: Sporadic failure to reinstall extension after an uninstallation
Issue Type: cid:jira-generated-image-avatar-6ab09562-0867-477a-a9d5-cd12313ad182 Bug
Affects Versions: 16.4.6
Assignee: Unassigned
Components: Extension
Created: 27/Jan/25 16:37
Priority: cid:jira-generated-image-static-major-57012e4a-2a00-421e-9949-f4cb0dc9660e Major
Reporter: slauriere
Description:

Steps to Reproduce

In the Extension Manager:

  • Install a given extension (e.g., SearchGrid).
  • Uninstall it.
  • Reinstall it at the same version or a different version.

Actual Result

  • The installation initiated after the uninstallation triggers an uninstallation plan instead of an installation plan.
  • See the attached HTTP response from the installation attempt.
  • When this situation occurs, it seems that installing and uninstalling any other extension results in the same unexpected behavior. Also, installating the extension on a farm rather than in the current wiki triggers an installation plan as expected.
  • After a wiki restart, the extension can be installed as expected.
