Summary: Add a tooltip to inform the users that the show/hide buttons also reset the panels width
Issue Type: cid:jira-generated-image-avatar-9710f7d8-a6de-4125-a790-9ec5f2839565 Improvement
Affects Versions: 17.4.0
Assignee: Unassigned
Components: Flamingo Skin, Panels
Created: 26/May/25 16:45
Environment: Windows 11 Pro, Firefox 138, using an instance of XWiki 17.4.0 on Jetty/HSQLDB
Priority: cid:jira-generated-image-static-major-fa15cbc5-c85c-41f6-b94c-461d950c3721 Major
Reporter: Ilie Andriuta
Description:

Since clicking the show/hide panel button implemented through XWIKI-12824 it also resets the panel width, we should inform the users (e.g. through the button tooltip) of this aspect.

This may be an usability issue where an user defines a custom panel width, clicks the hide button, then expects the panel to have the same custom width after it shows back.

It may be implemented like:

Toggle the right panel column. This also resets the panel's width.
