Still reproduces on master (18.9.0-SNAPSHOT), in the in-place editor: with a table row |alpha|beta, selecting the whole value beta gives |beta in Source, and switching back to WYSIWYG selects alpha (the previous cell).
The automated test for XWIKI-25088 (InplaceEditIT#switchToSourcePreservesSelection, https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/pull/6590) works around it by selecting a word at the end of the cell instead of the whole cell value; it should be changed to select the whole cell value once this issue is fixed.
