Closing as Won't Fix, after looking at what hiding the pages would do.
The model pages are the records an administrator manages: AI.Models.WebHome lists them with a livetable, and the livetable applies the hidden query filter by default, so hidden pages disappear from that list for every user who does not display hidden documents. Models created from the template provider would also stay visible, since the create action does not copy the hidden flag of the template. Hiding the shipped pages would therefore make the list inconsistent and hide the entries from the people who need them, for no gain. The same posture applies to the collection pages of the index.
The pages are already in a hidden space home (AI.Models.WebHome is hidden), which keeps them out of the navigation tree for readers.
