I would like to emphasize that after performing the described steps, a user may save the page in the wiki editor (source code mode) with HTML content. Once this happens, re-editing the page in the WYSIWYG editor will not resolve the issue — the only workaround to restore the correct page content is to roll back changes, whether there is a history entry with properly rendered content. As I mentioned earlier, this issue can occur by simply adding any XWiki macro in the WYSIWYG editor, then switching to source mode and modifying there macro, and afterwards switching back and forth between the editors. However, during my attempts I was not able to reproduce this behavior consistently, neither on my personal XWiki instance nor on the latest demo instance. I shared an example of what I managed to reproduce since I occasionally noticed this behavior in my own XWiki.
