Seems the imported XAR is properly registered as extension, but no ExtensionInstalled event is sent so some stuff are missing (like registering in the special XAR extensions index).

I don't think this ever worked. The only difference is that now you have a warning indicating that strange situation with the previously imported extension.

I don't think this ever worked. The only difference is that now you have a warning indicating that strange situation with the previously imported extension. Also, the warning is related to the previous imported extension (which is uninstalled), no to the one you are installed, which should be registered just fine.
