Author: Vincent Massol <[email protected]> Date: 2026-07-27 (Mon, 27 Jul 2026) Changed paths: M README.md Log Message: ----------- [Misc]: Replace the user documentation in README.md with a link to xwiki.org The XWiki Docker user documentation now lives on xwiki.org, at /documentation/xs/admin/installation/methods/install-xwiki-docker/, where it is more complete than the README was: it covers docker run, Docker Compose and Docker Swarm for the three databases, the image's environment variables and configuration files, volumes, logs, HTTPS, running behind a reverse proxy, using an external Solr service, building a custom image, upgrading and troubleshooting. Keeping a second copy here means the two drift apart, so the README now points at it and keeps only what is specific to this repository: what XWiki is, the license, support, how to contribute and the credits. The links in those remaining sections are updated too: the repository was renamed from xwiki-contrib/docker-xwiki to xwiki/xwiki-docker, and the community pages were renamed upstream (Community/MailingLists is now Community/Discuss and Community/IRC is now Community/Chat). Since that name has already drifted once and the comments do not depend on which distribution it is, they now refer to the base image's own distribution release rather than naming it.
