The editor manager falls back to the first editor of the category, and both editors used the default priority, so the winner was decided by the order in which the components happened to be registered: CKEditor registers as a wiki component once the wiki is up, while BlockNote is a Java component registered at startup, which is why a restart changed the result * Add a unit test asserting that the BlockNote editor component declares a lower than default role type priority, so that it doesn't win the implicit default when no WYSIWYG editor is configured * Explain the lower priority by BlockNote being experimental, rather than by CKEditor, since the point is to stay behind any other editor extension that might be installed Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <[email protected]> To unsubscribe from these emails, change your notification settings at https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/settings/notifications
