Author: Vincent Massol <[email protected]> Date: 2026-09-18 (Fri, 18 Sep 2026) Changed paths: M README.md M xwiki/skills/xwiki-ci-check/SKILL.md M xwiki/skills/xwiki-ci-check/tools/ci-check.mjs M xwiki/skills/xwiki-ci-check/tools/matrix.mjs Log Message: ----------- [Misc] Listen to the room before reporting on CI * Read the Matrix room back before the sweep — `matrix.mjs --since last-digest` returns only the messages naming a test, an issue, a PR or a build, about four a day, and `--chat` hands them to `ci-check.mjs`. * Two `fixState` values from what the team said: `announced`, a failure the room was told was coming, so nobody is pinged for it, and `being-handled`, somebody saying they are on it — also read from the incident's own JIRA issue comments. * Chat may suppress, never trigger; it never touches blame; a claim decays at 48 hours and must post-date the build the failure started in, an announcement pre-date it; and it never leaves the room for a JIRA issue or a commit comment. * Match a sentence more strictly than a pull request, not less: a message naming another package, or another method of the same class name, is thrown away. A live run attached a ckeditor `ImageIT` discussion to blocknote's without it. * Cite the room where it does not suppress — the root cause somebody already published is the one thing a CI dashboard can never show, so it opens the deep paragraph and earns a digest line. * Always post the digest line for a chat-derived answer: it suppresses on a sentence rather than a fact, so the routine's reading of the room goes back into the room, where the person who wrote it can say it was misread. * Group proven flickers for filing after the answers, not before — an answered incident was still being printed under "issues to open", which is a write.
