[xwiki-devs] [GSOC] Bonding period
Hi GSOCers, Just a kind reminder that this is currently the bonding period (till 26th of May) and we'd like you to follow the guidelines we've set at http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/ as much as possible. I haven't seen much activity from you on the list in general. It's possible you're talking directly to your mentors in which case I'd like to ask you to communicate through the mailing list instead. One main goal of the GSOC is that you integrate an open source project's community. Also have you been able to pick some jira issue and work on them? If you have any problem doing that please let us know how we can help you. If you have already sent a patch in a jira issue and it's not been reviewed and applied yet please let us know by answering this email too. Thanks again -Vincent
Hi Vincent, Sorry but at the moment I'm extremely busy.. I have a lot of university related work to do so unfortunately I wasn't able to do much with XWiki yet. I'll do that in the next 1-2 weeks and bother you with questions :-) I was also waiting of a kind of "welcome" mail from you guys - or at least my mentor :-) I wish all of you a great weekend Markus

Hi Vincent, As for my case, i've also been really busy with the academic week of my university and some deadlines at the same time.. so i didn't had much time to work on my XWIKI project. Hi Vincent, Similar was the case with me. I was very busy with my final M.Tech project Thesis and Presentation. But yesterday everything was completed and finally I am done with all my academic related work (at least I hope so). So, I think I will look into the JIRA issues this weekend and bother you people with any subsequent difficulties I face. Hi Vincent, I'm sorry that I have not much activity in the issues work. I'm busy with the EC-GIN(http://www.ec-gin.eu/) project and the trustie project in my lab. I read mail everyday, and on the irc channel everyday, almost. I have seen the issues. I want to product patch which solve the issues about Chinese Encoded, or something else. Any suggestion? In this mode you can have more than one wiki (each with its own database) targeted with attached domain(s) name(s) to be able to access a particular one. See http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Virtualization and http://code.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Applications/WikiManagerApplication. Each wiki desciptor is stored in the main wiki which is always the wiki "xwiki" (its a limitation cause by lots of "xwiki" strings still remaining in the code). The other wikis are generally called "virtual wikis" and can use users/groups from the main wikis as "global users/groups", wiki's own users/groups are called "local users/groups". Hope it helps.

Hi Vincent, I'm working with the http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XECLIPSE-76 currently at the moment. I downloaded the trunk and build the project.Since my final year project work I was not able to put my total attention to the issuer.Now the projects are over and I'll be able to complete the task in some more days.After that I will be looking to the other issuer which involves core module.So I thought to do the http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XECLIPSE-76 first and move on to the other one later.
