Hi Having a discussion in our company about wiki's and LDAP support We had some issues getting LDAP working and a person made a comment that LDAP was not really a key focus and that some of the issues we encountered are in other classes that are used and therefore the problems are not in Xwiki Is there plans to improve Xwiki LDAP support and and will configuration come into the front end? Will its configuration be simplified? Cheers Peter

Glad to hear that!

Yes there'll a front end at some point. It's not on the short term roadmap of xwiki committers right now though but this can change if there's enough demand for it or if someone starts contributing some patches (not very hard to do). You can vote/follow/comment on this issue: http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-2551 Thanks -Vincent
Hi Peter, There is a raw front-end available as an extension. It does not really simplify the configuration, but it moves it to the wiki : http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/LDAP+Tools Jerome On Fri, Feb 25, 2011 at 6:42 AM, Peter McLarty <[email protected]> wrote:
