[xwiki-devs] XWiki workspace performance
We are trying out Xwiki workspace. We find it really slow compared to Xwiki enterprise in same environment. How can we improve it's performance ?
Hi, We are trying out Xwiki workspace. We find it really slow compared to
Xwiki enterprise in same environment. How can we improve it's performance ?
Couls you give us more info about your environment ? XWiki Workspaces version, distribution, database, webserver, characteristics of your server, potential other applications running on the same server, version of the JVM... Since we'll hardly be able to help you with no information whatsoever about those items ;-) Guillaume -- Guillaume Lerouge Product Manager - XWiki Skype ID : wikibc http://blog.xwiki.com/
Yes, In addition of that, can you give us some navigation context info, i.e. are all pages equally slower ? or only some UI are way slower ? or... ? Thanks, Jerome. Guillaume Lerouge wrote:

Hello ! I appreciate your quick reply. Actually whatever package you have for the beginners I just unzipped and ran it. The zip file that I downloaded was xwiki-workspaces-hsqldb-1.0. Here is the Java version info on my PC (running on XP): C:\Documents and Settings\sisigma4 user>java -version java version "1.6.0_03" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode) I guess this will help. Best regards... On Thu, Oct 9, 2008 at 12:56 AM, Guillaume Lerouge <[email protected]> wrote:

This could be linked to the number of pages. Are you running XWiki Enterprise on hsqldb also or on mysql ? On MySQL here are indexes that it's good to create once you have a lot of pages (same for Enterprise than Workspaces): http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Database+Administration Ludovic Vivian Richard wrote:
