I would say the solution is to always consider this as an attachment, except in a specific view where we always consider it as a page. We could for example only allow page creation in the spaces area. Also I don't think in the spaces area we should show child pages. Ludovic Asiri Rathnayake wrote:

This is not the only place this problem occurs. I'm working on a workaround for this problem but i would like to have a better mechanism if it's possible.
