Well, we are now using the new security authorization module, so everything in relation with access right could have been impacted. This would be nice to check that everything works as expected (not necessarily like it worked before however.)

It would be cool if the devs which worked on this could write or could start a specifications page in Drafts space on dev subwiki. If we don't know the expected behavior, we can't know if a behavior is normal/expected/intended or a bug. Regards, Sorin B.

I fully agree Sorin, and more than a draft, a correct documentation is needed and now possible to write (not necessarily simple however) since the behavior of the new module is consistant. The question is less to know if the module behave properly, we are working to have automated test for that, but it is more to know if it does not break badly any existing feature/usage. Since there is some substancial changes (improvements!), we may have potentially forgotten a perfectly valid use case. So this is more a surprising or unexpected behavior for your common sense that you need to report. I know this is a little bit subjective, but I stay at your disposal to answer any concrete question you may have during test. Regards,
Regards, Sorin B.

Yes, everything in the Release Notes! :) As a general rule, the Release Notes are here to explain the important changes and thus what needs to be tested. Now for some of them you may not know how to test and you could ask specific questions to the devs on IRC or the list. If you look at the RN for 5.0M2 for example (http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/ReleaseNotes/ReleaseNotesXWiki50M2) you'll see: * Automatic paste: needs to be tested on all supported browsers * Virtual mode on by default: try creating new wikis, new workspaces, etc. XEM should be installable without restart now too. * Try accessing an unknown subwiki and verify the message displayed * Be careful about authors/creators information displayed as changes have been done related to that * Sergiu has made a DB schema change with a migration so upgrades from older version to 5.0M2 on all supported DBs should be tested * Translations for workspaces Thanks -Vincent

And the most important change which is still not in the Release Note (Denis ?): completely different right check and authentication entry point (not the actual authentication but the code that calls the actual authentication and put the user in the context) implementation.
Thanks -Vincent

The office import/export and the office viewer. I did some refactoring and I hope I didn't miss something. Thanks, Marius
