Hi.

I have followed the following instructions: http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Installation#HInstallingtheStandalonedistribution

Tomcat is running with the following paths :

Using CATALINA_BASE:   /Users/jeromedelacroix/Library/Tomcat
Using CATALINA_HOME:   /Users/jeromedelacroix/Library/Tomcat
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /Users/jeromedelacroix/Library/Tomcat/temp
Using JAVA_HOME:       /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.3/Home

In Teminal, I have launched xwiki_start.sh

I'm getting this:

15:40:30.349 INFO   [main] org.mortbay.log.LogImpl.add(LogImpl.java:109) >16> added org.mortbay.log.OutputStreamLogSink@baa466

I have org.mortbay.start.Main running

My Apache server seems to work properly on http://localhost:8080/

Still when I click on: http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome

I'm getting :

type Rapport d'état

message /xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome

description La ressource demandée (/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome) n'est pas disponible.

Any clues ?

Thanks

Jerome

Hi Stephen,

These are good tips to share with others. Do you think you could create a new FAQ entry on http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/ about it?

The FAQ could be named: “How do I export a page in HTML”. You could say that it’s planned to be implemented in http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-564 but that in the meantime it’s possible to use your trick, for example J

Thanks a lot

-Vincent

By the way, forgot to mention that the technique below does not grab attachments. If anyone has suggestions on how to get attachments included, I would appreciate tips.

I thought I would share a tip for downloading a static HTML snapshot of an XWiki space. I've had pretty good success using wget:

wget -E -r -k -p --no-parent http://myserver/xwiki/bin/view/MySpace/

[snip]
