The first attempt reads the feed directly - that fails. Apparently
it's a problem with Rome.
The second is the content of the feed cut & pasted to a different url
- that works.
The third is accessing the feed through a script that simply
regurgitates the content of the URL that's passed as an argument -
that works. I use this for my feeds.

By the way, if you get frustrated with the way the RSS macro presents
things, you can access the SyndFeed object directly with Velocity like
#set($feed=$xwiki.feed.getFeed($feedUrl)) . See the
http://openmpt.xwiki.com homepage for an example. Only problem is I'm
not sure how to handle exceptions in Velocity.
