Continuing numbered list

      Is there a way to continue the numbered list? For example the result I want
to achieve is something is:

1. Step A

some text goes here

2. Step B
3. Step C

with the wiki syntax below:

1. Step A

some text goes here

1. Step B
1. Step C

would produce

1. Step A

some text goes here

1. Step B
2. Step C

Any ideas?
