[xwiki-users] User profile different in RC1
Hi, I'm not sure if this is a bug in RC1 but I don't remember this behaviour in 1b6 (I have to reinstall it and try). Create a new user "Test", log on as "Test" and edit his profil. You will only see his name and firstname attribute but no Blog, Blog Feed, Company, City or Country. I've switched to advance mode but it's still the same. Am I missing something ? Antonio

It's my fault. I broke this in RC1. I had some checks to prevent velocity errors appearing in the logs but as a consequence the edit fields are only displayed if they have content thus making it a chicken and egg problem. Right now you could use "Edit Objects" to add data but I'll fix for RC2. Thanks for reporting it! -Vincent
Is this standard for all sheets on RC1, or just users? -----Original Message----- From: Vincent Massol [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 23 April 2007 11:19 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [xwiki-users] User profile different in RC1 Hi Antonio, On Apr 23, 2007, at 11:47 AM, Antonio Goncalves wrote:

Have you found any other problem? I know I fixed some other places where there were velocity errors in the logs but I don't know if they were sheets. I need to check my svn commits to see if I broke anything else. Sorry about that. -Vincent

At current we're on Beta5 in our production environment, so as yet nothing serious that you don't have a good handle on at the moment. I'm currently in the process of updating our test environment, but if there is a general restriction with editing for RC1 then I need to specify this when applying the new release. If it's restricted to user editing, then it's not too big of a problem for our network. -----Original Message----- From: Vincent Massol [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 23 April 2007 11:28 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [xwiki-users] User profile different in RC1 On Apr 23, 2007, at 12:21 PM, Esbach, Brandon wrote:

There's an important issue with RC1 with some URL that we've fixed in http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-695 Actually this was supposed to be fixed in RC1 but wasn't and it's now fixed in RC2. I'd suggest you wait for RC2 for production but at the same time, any feedback on RC1 is most welcome now as RC2 is supposed to be the last release before 1.0 final so we need to know now or it'll in 1.0.1 or later otherwise. RC2 is planned for Wednesday night. Thanks -Vincent
