[xwiki-users] XMPP client/server status?
After I managed to install xwiki, I would like to have real-time chat support as well. I assumed XMPP client/server would do the job, but it doesn't seem to be working. Are there any extensions that do provide working real-time chat? The XMPP Chat Application <http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/XMPP+Chat+Application> clearly states that it only works with Jetty. Sorry about that. I just thought the extension manager would make a dependency check that would block the installation, but apparently not. I don't think Chat Application is not accessible enough for people to use it and it has other shortcomings like not being able to see who is in a chat room and if you are editing a page somewhere, the chat is not seen or noticed until the receiver manually enters the chat room again. Also, I had no idea what jetty was until you hinted it.
