Did you see http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/documentation-wiki-user-account-tp5680688p... ? Basically, you can register an account, but only on the main wiki (www.xwiki.org), not on subwikis.

I think it would be a great commodity to Xwiki users wishing to test out new installs or migrations between systems........ especially for new users like myself who have either just started with Xwiki or only been using it for a short period of time.

yes you can add content to any wiki on xwiki.org. Just be careful to add good quality doc ;) Thanks for your help, that's great! -Vincent

Have signed up now but can't figure out how to create my own page??

Basically the documentation I have is already compiled and want to copy/paste it into my own "Space" if possible rather then adding to the already very congested Xwiki Admin Installation guide.

I don't have rights to do this though so I'm wondering what the best way to go is as my stuff doesn't really fit I feel to what's up already??

It's basically a combination of Install and Configuration together compiled into a howto rather then broken up section by section.....

Has anyone got any ideas of the best approach??

I've copied over my personal Xwiki content on installing in a BSD based environment which can be seen here:

I think you must follow now the instructions about created new pages... http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Drafts/XWikiOrgDocumentationStandard#HWh... We'll see if there are other users running XWiki in the same environment that could eventually add details to your document. If there are not such users, let's see what dev people have to say. I don't see a clear process about voting or "approving" new contents. I gues your document must be somehow linked to http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Installation. I can see some instructions about installing Glassfish, but to the best of my understanding they are not Solaris specific. Have you check how your document fits into this structure? I think you must sent a message to this list telling the community that the new documentation is available and proposing a way of linking/integrating it with the existing Admin Guide.
