[xwiki-users] Experimental Realtime WYSIWYG editor released.
Hello all, On behalf of XWiki SAS Research Team, I'm proud to announce that an early experimental version of the XWiki Realtime WYSIWYG has just been released! You can find the code here: http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/RtWysiwyg and install it using the Extension Manager. Beware: it's still experimental and we're not yet sure that it won't eat your cat. We're very interested in discovering what issues people are having with the system and any bugs, feature requests or other issues which people are experiencing would be most appreciated on http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/RTWYSIWYG Thanks, Caleb
Update: I forgot to mention that it is currently deployed and testable on http://realtime.webviewers.org/ Thanks, Caleb On 08/08/2014 12:24 PM, Caleb James DeLisle wrote:

Well done! This is exactly what users (15-20) on our company have been asking for. Next week i will install this extension on our test stage and see what happens.
Caled, Nice work, but you have got a bug where the edits of one user can undo the modification of another user. Here's what I did: I opened two windows of Google Chrome, displaying the "Demo Time" section. If I type something in one window (window A), the text appears almost instantly in the other window (window B)...nice work! But if I select some text in window A and I make it BOLD, that change is /not/ reflected in window B. If I now type something in window B, the text which was made BOLD in window A is now undone. -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Experimental-Realtime-WYSIWYG-editor-relea... ...the WYSIWYG editor just below the "Demo Time" does work as expected. So it looks like the "Source" editor is not being flagged when you apply BOLD, Italic, etc, but the WYSIWYG Editor is. -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Experimental-Realtime-WYSIWYG-editor-relea...
