i see there is HTML export regardless of OpenOffice launched but i cannot see HTML import. Maybe there is just no import infrastructure outside visual editor, and latter only knows about OpenOffice formats, dunno. But HTML format for exchanging simple documents is not less used than RTF :-) And it can be parsed and imported regardless OpenOffice presence (It is already done to a point. Office documents are converted into HTML then imported).
